Are you saying you don’t know what an internship is? Is that where the misunderstanding is?

No, they brought him in as an intern, learning how to become a coach, picking up tips etc.

No doubt as a favour to an ex-Jet, it can't be that hard for you to grasp surely ?

Antonio Cromartie, Derrick Alexander and Randy Starks will serve as coaching interns for the Jets during training camp as part of the NFL’s Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship program.

and of course he won't be giving any advice to players?

you need to get real. learning to be a coach has some strings attached.

see above. and stop fooling yourself. i know what an intern is. it's learning to apply skills to a job on an active basis. not just sitting there watching.

How did this turn into a "defend or disrespect Cromartie" thread :)

To be fair, Cromartie was tall, but not built, he was kind of lanky, so his strengths were his speed and keeping up with receivers on deep routes. He wasn't built for stuffing at the line or run coverage. Cro was solid for the Jets outside of the year he was banged up, but obviously he was no Revis.

It seems like many fault him for not being as good as Revis. They remember all the bad plays, but forget all the ones where he kept his guy in check, thus the QB had nowhere to throw.

I can't say I have seen you post despite you being on since 2014, but I am going to have to consign you to the idiot box, sorry and all of that but it seems a bit pointless chatting with you any further, cya.

Is there anywhere that you can see some of these throws and long runs out there ?

So you're saying he hasn't taken over all coaching duties and responsibilities for the LBs?

Think today is an off day. Probably because they have their scrimmage tomorrow

I respectfully disagree. He wasn't that lanky, and he was as big or bigger than many of the WRs he faced. Revis was smaller and he was great at stuffing at the LOS. Cro was solidly built. He was 6'2", 210 pounds and Revis was 5'11", 198 pounds.

Cro was rangy, long and awkward like a racing horse. Revis was a fire plug. he was so strong. stronger than any of the receivers he faced. that's why he owned them at the line every time. he bitch slapped monsters like Terrell Owens like it was his birthright.

Mark Sanchez once said that Cro was the best athlete he ever played with or against. Antonio also got his wife pregnant after having a vasectomy so that's another one of his superpowers.
