I am so excited about tomorrows game. I love this feeling, December games that mean a lot. All the news and everything surrounding the Jets right now is awesome. I have not been this pumped for a game in awhile. But every time we beat a crappy team we always get so excited like we are awesome, our running game is awesome, Chad is unstoppable etc etc.... I feel like we as Jets fans sometimes do get over excited. I mean I feel like we have good reason to be excited, but I hate beating decent to crappy teams, having the feeling that we are awesome, then we play a pretty good team and get our asses kicked. And everything is thrown out the window. I just do not get excited 100% anymore, because this always happens. Sorry if this offends anyone, but ya gotta feel me here. GO JETS!
Why be a fan if we aren't going to get excited and talk up our boys when they are playing well. That is what this is all about!
Ummm yes I guess I understand what you are trying to say...but this season we have beaten good teams like the Pats, and been really competitive in the Bears game (if we had cashed in on 2/4 of our red zone attempts, instead of 0/4, we woulda been right in it). Really we have shown everyone that we are a good team. However, this post is kind of like saying, "I'm so excited to get my new PSP!!!!! PSP SUX!!!"
are you forgetting that we beat New England once, and almost one the other game against them? We almost beat the Colts, only to lose on a last-minute drive by Manning We shut out the Bears in the first half, and only lost 10-0. The only game in which we have had our "asses kicked" is the game against Jax when we lost 41-0
That's what I've had in the back of my mind this week. It's the same feeling I had after they knocked off the Dolphins then the Lions. We were feeling pretty good, and then they got their asses handed to them by the Browns. This definitely looks like it could turn into one of those cases. In any case, I'm still excited about the team right now.
I'm extremely excited and optimistic for tomorrow's game, which is a LOT for me. Always excited, almost never optimistic. I have a feeling we go out there and just kick their asses up and down the field. Win by 14+. But now that I feel that, chances are it will be a frustrating, disheartening loss.
