I think it does. He'd be the clear #1 on a team that didn't just win 73 games breaking a record.

Well not confirmed by Durant himself but ESPN and NBA TV just broke the news on TV. He is going there. I doubt he announces anything different. Now what happens to Kawhai? Joins to LeBron and Anthony Davis? I hope so.

Yeah, Woj said it so its as good as done. Looks like the Knicks are indeed getting nobody. No incentive for Leonard to come.

I take my kids to 2 Nets games a year at least but looks like their tickets will be hot for the next few years. Good good. Pretty happy now. :) Sad for Knicks though. First goes Zion and now all prime free agents are snubbing them.

Durant didn't follow Irving to the Nets, it's been clear since day one they were going to NY together. They didn't even meet with any teams, they both had this decided for days now. I do believe If Durant didn't get injured they both would have gone to the Knicks, but Durants injury lead to Irving leaning toward Brooklyn so they probably agreed to just do that. If that's your definition of following though, that's weak because I don't think Irving goes to the Nets if Durant doesnt go either.

With that said Durant still could have gone to the Knicks like how LeBron went to LA but with the injury it just changed things, who knows what the knicks will even be or look like in a year from now, it would be a risk to sign long term when you won't even be playing a full year.

Welp, the Knicks should now try to go for Deangelo Russell / Tobias Harris.

Well, add another one to the list of Tank Mush.

Pretty much knew the Knicks were screwed when Francessa hand-waived a caller and basically said Durant will pick da Knicks becawz of da gawden.

    Back aftah dis.

Hearing that kawhi is going to the Lakers.

OH boy, the LeBron trolls are about to eat major amounts of crow, all the arguments people used against LeBron are about to work in his favor.

If it's all about the rings and Lebron ends up with as many or more, then according to the LeBron haters logic, LBJ will be better.

Also you can't call LeBron a bitch for going to the Laker, he went to one of the weakest teams in the same conference as the Warriors. He is about to be rewarded greatly. Kawhi is 26, Davis is 27, LeBron might be playing past his 40s while his teammates dominate the league.

I predict a 3-peat right now, Kawhi will have 5 rings at age 30......

The unfortunate turn of events for the Knicks is insane if you think about it....

    1) They didn't get Zion

2)Durant gets injured because the Raptors couldn't close out game 5

3)The Nets won enough to be a playoff team

If any of those things didn't happen, in all likelyhood they go to to the Knicks. The Knicks are cursed, a month ago they had this in the bag, blame Kyle Lowry first and foremost, if he makes that shot, Durant never plays.

It looks like he just followed another good player to stack the deck and is not a leader.

I personally didn't want Kevin Durant anymore (after ACL injury). But I won't lie as a childhood and still die hard Knicks fan it hurts to know that we could have $200M in cap space and after dreaming of Zion, Durant and Kyrie Irving that we failed at landing all 3. Sad day in Knicks history. We even traded K.P away in order to create cap space for absolutely nothing. R.J Barrett better become Michael Jordan 2.0 because as of right now the Brooklyn Nets OWN N.Y.C right now which is embarrassing. James Dolan just got slapped in the face. Knick fans should refuse to buy tickets/go to games until the man is forced to sell the team. He ruined our franchise along time ago and continues to ruin us each and every off-season. Can't wait for our 2019-2020 Jets it's sad when the Johnson's are 100x better than Dolan he sucks the fun right out of you.

Knicks got what they deserved. Dolan is a POS that I can’t imagine any player would want to play for.

And Dolan’s biggest misdeed that I hope he burns in hell for is robbing the Jets of their own stadium in NY. If sports fandom was pragmatic and not emotional I would be a Nets fan.
