His toe seemed like the least of his problems tonight, but it is injured. I wonder if it had any effect on his play. Who knows, who cares.

Sounds like an excuse to put out there to try to dampen the impact of that "performance".

Eh, the only thing that seemed compromised tonight was his decision making. Toe injury? Yea maybe he hurt something late in the 4th but his mobility wasn't an issue until then.

How could that be? His heels did all the work tonight.

Glad we got a win this year to avoid the 0-16 distinction.

    What a trainwreck.

Apparently it's a major toe injury, it's effecting his brain.

Kinda like Revis grabbing his hamstring after he got toasted by Randy Moss.

    Too convenient.

When I clicked on this thread I assumed it was going to be a humorous take on him not stepping into any throw. It seems I was wrong. Sounds like a PR excuse job.

man he is getting the most crazy dumb injuries i've ever heard of. with that said, I lost a toenail when I was a kid. that shit is super painful. I have no idea how he's going to play through that. The skin under the nail is very sensitive and hurts like a bitch if even touched. I couldn't even wear a normal sneaker or socks. had to wear an open medical shoe thing. Even if he plays it's going to be hard to play through and be effective. I'm sure sam at this point wants to put this season behind him. 7 weeks into the year and he's had strep throat, mono, and lost a toe nail.

What's next, tendinitis from playing Game Boy like Lionel Simmons?? Management needs to make sure Sam has all handheld gaming platforms removed from his house ASAP

The question needs to be asked, when did Sam suffer this injury. Sam was shell shocked and mentally unable to play QB from the 2nd quarter on. He had no business being in the game in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Playing him and continuing to pass did nothing but expose him to injury and further erode his confidence. Leaving him in was recklessly idiotic and not something you do with a young FQB.
