Focus blame IN THIS ORDER

I'm no expert, but IMO the reason the jets stink and will continue to stink for many more years is a combination of three factors and IN THIS ORDER:

1. The owners: Chris and Woody Johnson are mindless, clueless, stupid, nerdy spoiled brats who know SQUAT about football and have listened to tv idiots (like Charlie Casserly) and hired terrible people year after year! My God, I was shocked when Chris "the moron" Johnson gave Todd Bowles and Mike Maccagnan a two-year extension after the 2017 season, after they had just completed consecutive 5-11 seasons! Both Bowles and MacIdiot HAD another year left on their contract, and Johnson foolishly adds and guarantees them two more years of pay AFTER the unexpired year still left on their contracts. How totally, absolutely idiotic is an owner to reward the coach and idiot GM with guaranteed money after back to back seasons of losing more than 2 out of every 3 games played? Then after 2018, they should have canned MacCagnan WITH Bowles, but instead they stupidly let MacCagnan ruin one draft, and then they fired him. As long as the jets owners have ANY responsibility with this team, the jets are in trouble. The don't know football and they want to have control! The Ringling, I mean, Johnson have succeeded in taking the jets to the bottom of the AFC EAST, and in fact the entire NFL.

2. IDIOTIC GM Mike MacIdiot: Yes I know he is gone, but Gase (who should be fired after this year) inherited a terrible roster totally devoid of an OL, a pass rush, WRs, or quality CBs. Mike MacIdiot is the no mind who ran five (count 'em five) drafts wherein he selected a grand total of 3 offensive linemen in 5 years--two in round 5, and one in late round 3. Darnold is now running for his life and regressing badly primarily IMO because Mike MacIdiot had some phobia about drafting OL. It shows! I have never seen a worse OL than the 2019 jets. But what did MacIdiot EXPECT going into this year with retreads and scrubs? This relates to point 1 above that the lucky sperm brothers should have NEVER kept MacCagnan as long as they did. Just look at MacCagnan's IDIOTIC 2017 draft where he drafted FOUR DBs and 3 receivers (that's right, in ONE draft), but ZERO OL and DL in that draft. Johnson should have fired him the day after that draft.

3. Adam Gase: I haven't forgotten. Gase MUST go after this season. I think Johnson will foolishly keep him thru 2020 for one simple reason-- Johnson still has to PAY Bowles and MacIdiot for ALL of 2020. Johnson in 2020 would not want to pay TWO ex-coaches, and one ex-GM in addition to his current coach and GM (would be too embarrassing for the lucky sperm brothers). No excuse-- Gase's teams look unprepared and lack discipline. Also, his players seem more concerned about complaining, calling out fans, worrying about trade rumors, etc. than playing football. Gase is NOT a leader on men, does not even inspire confidence, and seems totally resistant to any change. His team is constantly running the same plays and schemes that aren't working. I hope he is fired following the 2019 (this) season. Why fire him now since we are out of the playoffs? It is too late to start over now. In fact, Gase's incompetence is the only way the jets can parlay a soft remaining 2019 schedule into the #1 pick next year. Then fire him, and let Phillips find and choose the next coach--what the hell do we have to lose? Then MOVE DOWN in the draft and get a bunch of picks instead of throwing the top pick at another interior DL like McIdiot did with L.and Q. Williams. Neither did or will do much with the jets since the jets always play a 3-4 defense, wherein linemen are grunts and LBs make plays. The jets cannot figure that out either.
