How come when we are losers no one makes the PB but Andre johnson can do so on a crappy team? and while Wayne is an excellent WR he has Manning throeing him the ball and Marvin to take all the pressure off him- Cotch is good but he's not Marvin. i'm sure there will be some "injuries" and Rhodes and Coles will probably end up going just like Vilma last year.
Rhodes not getting in is one of the biggest snubs I have ever seen. He has been better than Reed, Palomalu, and Lynch both statistically and with regards to impact on the team. Also, Al Wilson does not deserve to be in, there are several other MLB's that are better than him.
Hopefully John Lynch gets injured or something cause if there was any one who deserved to make the pro bowl this year it was him.
They're all good WRs and you could make fine case for any of them belonging on the PB team. Wayne is arguably having a better season the Harrison. What I'm saying is it's not a complete joke like with Lynch making the team.
The only other player who deserved it was Rhodes. Complete outrage that Lynch made it over him. Coles started the season hot but cooled off towards the middle, when Pro Bowl voting started picking up. Rhodes has been consistent all year and really deserved it.
Luckily Rhodes is our Safety and not Lynch. Remember how close he was to signing with the Jets. Thank the Lord Rhodes is our man. Pro Bowl or No Pro Bowl.
Especially considering that it's John Lynch is his spot who has done nothign this season. The only good legitimate non-name based selections are Schobel and the LB from the Ravens (not Ray Lewis) ....everyone else, even the big name guys that are there and have had good seasons, are still there because of who they are and would have been there regardless of what they have done so far this season.
http://www.nfl.com/stats/playersort/AFC/DB-TACKLES/2006/regular its not even close. even eric coleman shoulda made it over him... by the way coleman has had a very solid season quietly. looks like last year was just a sophmore slump
It's upsetting not seeing any Jets other than Justin Miller on the Pro-Bowl team. I mean, Coles and Rhodes should have been on the team, but it really doesn't matter. Game is pointless anyway. I'm glad they aren't on it, it prevents them from getting injured in a meaningless game.
I am pissed, its stupid tu say lynch was a better safety than rhodes, he should have been the starter for the afc...it really bothers me. He had a great season, and im sure he would ve loved to be in the probowl so now lets focus on f**in beatin the dolphins and get into the playoffs
Sorry, I don't agree. Rhodes is going to be a great player, and made big strides. He's better than Lynch, I agree, but he still makes mistakes. Also, with Coles.. I can't argue Coles over the 4 that made it.. that's why.
The first 3 receivers I'm fine with. But I have to put Coles on par with Wayne this year. Then again there are always guys who get hurt or pull out.
I'm ok with Coles not making it. It's really close between him, Andre Johnson, and Javon Walker, and you can make a case for any of them. As far as Rhodes not making it, what pisses me off isn't so much that he didn't make it, but that the guys who did do not deserve it at all. It's based purely on reputation.
YUCK. its a popularity contest, plain and simple. Rhodes statistically should be the first saftey in there... but his name recognition isnt there yet. john lynch has done nothing. he shouldn't go at all. he's a great player, possible HOF but cmon people its time to pass the torch. i also find it ammusing that KC has 4 and MIA has 2, and neither team is likely to make the playoffs.
He makes mistakes, he's better than Lynch.... He's played better than Reed this year... That's all he needs to make the Pro Bowl... The two best safeties in the AFC, Hope and Rhodes, both missed out for 3 big named players who made very little impact this year.... Complete bull..
I agree it's a popularity contest and no big deal ultimately. But I bet if you watched 14 of Lynch's game, or 14 of Reed's games this year, you'd see an equal number of mistakes. And if you did, then you have to say that the game-changing plays that Rhodes has made should have elevated him into the Pro Bowl. That said, I hope that Rhodes and Coles take it out on Miami and Oakland.
