I recall reading 2-3 yrs ago that guards are pulling contracts equal to tackles. Turns out pressure up the middle right in a QBs face is more disruptive (and deadly) than edge. Edge is too easily defeated by stepping up or tossing a screen pass over his head. But 'in ur face' pressure demands dbl teams or keeping RB in to block. D-players like Darnold and Q are forcing teams to aquire interior lineman with the bulk and foot/hand speed normally reserved for tackles. JD may have found our bookends. Look for JD to roll the draft dice on interior lineman/center in 2021. Who knows. JD may turn us into Cowboys O-Line North! At which time TGG will start bitching about all the emphasis on o line while d line suffers.
