I still think Lawrence is better, so I'd be happy if Jacksonville did that. Fields is better tonight, but Lawrence is more consistent. Having said that, if Fields impresses me enough, I'd be willing to take him at 2 instead of trading the pick down. Regardless, I like Fields better than Wilson.

And if his ribs are broken, he'll have a built in valid excuse for not playing well. Part of this game is wanting revenge against Clemson and proving that they belong in the playoffs with only 6 games played.

May well be right. But I want options....and Mr. Fields has given us a nice cookie tonight. If they hold on, we get to see him again in a bigtime game and/or the pick gets more valuable. Folks....imagine this. JoeD and the new HC believe they can fix Darnold. And maybe they're not 100% sold on Fields or Wilson. But....they have 3 or 4 teams saying "We want the last call IF you decide to trade the pick." KA-CHING !!!!!!!!!!
Man I really hope this game puts to end the talk of Wilson as QB2, which never should’ve began in the first place.
