Which is what I've been saying.
Also, funny how all of a sudden no one calls him a fumbler?

The only thing that I'd say i'm disappointed in is the fact that in 2 years he's gotten dinged up in both. Then again, when you got an O-line whose QB's are going down like flies getting zapped, the RB's are taking a beating as well.

And... the Lamont Jordan is injury prone hate takes over the Lamont Jordan is a fumbler hate in ....

cman50, your right i cant imagine anyone worse that we could have picked up then Barlow or Blaylock! I think it would be nice to have Jordan back in a Jet uniform.

what do you all think about this scenario we already have leon washington and cedric houston is pretty solid. now i say we put lamont jordan back in uniform if he is released by the oakland raiders and try signing michael turner from the chargers. now if that doesnt work out i did hear rumors of larry johnson not being happy in kansas city so we might be able to pursue him. with those type of backs in the backfield we would be solid. this is of course with us releasing derrick blaylock and kevan barlow. let me know what you all think

Has anyone heard that Curtis Martin will be coming back next year b/c one of my good buds said he saw it on Jets 24/7 3 weeks ago. Also why is Curtis not on IR? Is he still eligible to play? Is there a chance that we might see him in the playoffs? Just some questions that im curious about, thanks.....

I doubt C-Mart will return to a #1 RB Role next year. Also, I believe he IS on IR.. The date passed somewhere around week 6 or 8 I forget and they had to make a decision

Don't get me wrong, I like Jordan alot, however he seemed to be able to break off a 50 yard run on 1st or 2nd down no problem but in 3rd and 4th and short he seems to get stuffed more often than he made it... that being said I would like to see him back...

It's time to turn the page on Jordan, just as it is with Martin. New team, new regime etc. Next year will be Jordan's 7th in the league. He now is coming off a serious knee injury. I want no part of him. It is highly debatable if he can be a #1 back in the NFL right now. The Jets #1 running back should be Houston or a draft pick and Washington is clearly the new "Bruce Harper" 3rd down and change of pace back for the forseeable future. There is no reason to bring back a 29 year old running back with a bum wheel into this situation. This is not "hate" - these are facts and opinion. He made his choice to leave - I understand why he left and don't blame him. But he is way way off my radar screen by now and I hope he is off Tannenbaum's.

Lamont Jordan, a fumbler??? He's only fumbled 8 times in his career with over 700+ touches........

But one thing about him, why the hell did Herm have him kick return when he could barely break 20 yards a return?

At 235 lbs he's not an every down back?? If he were with the Jets right now, he'd be the starter!

First, Leon is too small to be an every down back, now, Lamont Jordan is just a 3rd down back at 235 lbs.

Jordan is a hell of a back, but when you have the worst o-line, coupled with the biggest bust since Tony Mandarich on your line in Robert Gallery, what can you expect?

Fargas is making some noise, not a lot, but some behind that same pathetic line; with his injury history, don't expect a lot from him either.

Keep in mind the playcalling when Lamont was asked to get those 1st downs. He was run into the pile time and again in the Herm tradition when the other teams not only knew LJ was headed into the line, but stacked everybody except the waterboy upfront. Herm did the same for CMart as well on 3rd's. You can spread a little blame Hackett's way for the predictability of our offense back then too.

I'd like to see LJ back here with this new regime especially if we can get him cheap.

Good point... I try not to think of the Edwards/Hackett administration ... so maybe it's little unfair to lay it all on Jordan...

Those crystal balls are expensive. He was a huge factor when he was here, I haven't seen enough of him in Oakland to say why he hasn't been a factor there.

I agree. I think on a better team, hed be above average. Attitude has always been a problem. Even at Maryland, he was a malcontent.

A former employee of mine was on the Maryland scout team while he was there. Apparently he had quite a liking for the weed. Not that he's gotten into any trouble for it... just an interesting side note

Wasn't that in the San Diego playoff game in 04 when Herm had to be held back from taking a swing at the running backs coach?
