I only say that when people make shit up, which you did when you said he has been a disappointment and came to TC overweight. Saleh said that the NY media's claims that Becton showed up overweight to TC were not true. I'm sure they're concerned about his weight however because he's a huge man, and it could cause issues. That doesn't mean that Becton was overweight, however. We all know that Becton struggled in TC. What we don't know is why.
I don't know if Becton is overweight, but he sure as hell played like he was. Pass rushers were blowing by him with ease and a paltry 45 yards on the ground doesn't say much about the run blocking. If he is out for an extended time and not able to work out, can't see how his weight does not become a serious concern.
The why is irrelevant. He sucked during camp and he sucked today. Your original claim was that he didn't suck during training camp. Now you're saying we all know he struggled during TC. Which is it? Maybe take a deep breath and think before rushing to reply next time. Saleh only said his weight wasn't a concern after he was further questioned about it, because Saleh realized he gave up too much information previously and he's a players coach who doesn't want to come close to criticizing anyone publicly.

I honestly was looking for Adam Gase and Dowell Loggains on the sideline yesterday during the first half, the game felt like we picked up exactly where we left off last year. This is/was the same rinse and repeat crap we see every year here. The play calling was ridiculous and as unimaginative as it has been over the past 5+ years. The 4th & 1 stuffed run up the middle sent me to the gym to be honest because I knew what was going to happen right afterward. Hey Mike LaFleur, there is a play called a QB sneak on 4th and 1. Same thing right before the half, Car drove right down the field and Sam ran it in for the easiest 6 he has ever had. I shut the crap off right after, it was game over to me. While the game was still a game in the first half, we were not competitive and neither my health nor free time on Sunday are worth sitting and watching this team. Running on first down for 1 yard every series drove me up the wall. Couldn't complete a pass, QB getting his ass knocked to Saturn, Zero ingenuity. Yes, during garbage time, Zach lit it up. We are sadly on the way to destroying another QB if we do not get our protection shit together. I did manage to watch the 2nd half later in the evening on replay and honestly, was not impressed with anything much except Mims catch. Panthers clearly stopped playing, or dialed it way down being up 16-0 against this joke of a team. And what the hell is with this new CS and Denzel Mims? If they like Vyncent Smith better, they should all be fired today, I mean 2 plays per game for Mims is ABSURD. Whenever I see Mims with the ball, he is making positive yardage and busting it. Did the superstar tackle #95 even play yesterday? What an over rated stiff he is. If he wasn't the work of Mike McCagnan, Douglas would be hearing it BIG TIME from us fans. Douglas also seems to have the gift of only signing guys that get injured immediately. During TC I scoffed at the experts picking the Jets as the worst or second worst team in the NFL. Sadly, they were spot on, we will be lucky to win 2 games this season, and our QB will be lucky to survive at all if this continues. So we have Zack, which scrub interior DL'man are we tanking for this season? BB must be laughing his ass off, even in a loss yesterday about coming up here and making us look silly as he does twice annually. I am so F*****G sick of losing and looking like a disaster. It seems like we are the dynasty of being god awful every year.

A day later I'm less emotional and yeah it sucks losing but really wasn't as bad a game as it felt. I think the main thing is we've had no pass rush and bad OL for years and we talked ourselves into believing these issues would be better. Obv Lawson hurt our rush but OL... oof. getting chippy in here. With the state of the world right now it would certainly be nice to have some small oasis of positive shit but it's the Jets. We all knew it was pretty fucking unlikely. The handsomely paid coaches and athletes will review and make corrections or they won't. Don't let it fuck with your day, guys. guys at the end of the day we have a new HC, a rookie QB, and the youngest team in the NFL. it's a growing year and the start of a rebuild (again which i know is frustrating) we have lots of picks and money to improve. it's going to take some time we all knew this, plus we only lost by 5.
We all know it's a rebuild year. It's still unacceptable to have your rookie QB be the most pressured QB in the entire league during his first game. Protecting Wilson is literally priority #1 for this team, or it should've been. We failed as badly as we could have for that in our first game. It's perfectly fair to be concerned. Again, we literally were the worst in the entire league at the one thing that is the #1 priority for this team right now.

from the looks of what I saw we are a young team and the number change the panthers pulled off made it worse. we had trouble blocking everyone coming. they were only rushing 4 to our 5 blockers and still getting a man in untouched on key plays. Phil snow did an excellent job. We will watch film and work on it.
