Amen, and I'll add to your supposition that the Panthers took the second half off, their OC play caller went conservative early so I am not sure the D was better or the PC sucked. Also, JD initial presser stated you win and lose in the trenches... well Joe, so far the OL you made last year was the worst in FB and this version - know its early- wasn't very good yesterday. They sucked during preseason esp against the 1s and now we see that they are vulnerable. With BB and NE coming you can bet you'll see a lot of zero blitzs.... Hope Wilson's health insurance is paid up.
I think the Panther fans are going to get pretty sick of how conservative their coach is. Switching to that soft cover 2 in the 3rd quarter when their base was stomping us was pretty stupid IMO. It actually gave us life. He was playing not to lose the whole game.
they were conservative all game. c-mac had 30 touches, the rest of their skill positions had 15 combined. he doubled the touches of the rest of their team. It was mostly run to c-mac or dump off to c-mac. that never changed. they took 1 deep shot all game when it was wide open but other then that darnold barely threw a ball over 5 yard and c-mac had a 67% workload of the entire team. it amazes me how people will say the panthers went conservative instead of realizing we stopped them and they had less time with the ball because we made adjustements
