I have friend who works for the Giants and he says, "The Giants will make a big push for Pioli and if that happens they will push for BB too..." I can see that happening as all of BP's crew seem to meander through the Meadowlands time and time time and time again...
Just STOP. #1 it isn't Jets related. #2 Belichick is not leaving New England... Now if you said Weis to NY, then that'd be more believable.
#4 Belicheck is under contract through 2007 with the Patriots check out Len P's "Tip Sheet Notes" from last week.
You can't hire another HC under contract to be HC for your team. It's a lateral move. The Giants is Weis' dream job.
There are whispers lately that Belicheck may leave. I doubt it happens but there has to be something behind the rumors.
Yeah, the Giants want good PR. Show fans they are trying to right the ship. Belichick has too many ties to NE and loves working for Kraft. But show anyone a boatload of money and all bets are off, so who knows. Let's see if Saban bolts for Alabama. Unless Huzienga ponys up, he's gone.
If I had the time to figure out how to move this silly thread, I would be SO moving this into the NFL Forum.
This was the reason BB was mad at EM for taking the Jet HC job.. BB was planning to leave NE end of this season to hunt for the Giants Job. EM was to be his replacment in NE and when EM took the Jets HC he really messed up BB plans and you know rest of the story.
#6 Belichick has the hots for the Giants receptionist in the middle of a messy divorce, and the little Teddy Bear can't stay away. Done deal to the Giants!
That's post-mortem foolish rumor. Before Mangini left, the Giants looked like a Super Bowl contender under Coughlin. Unless Belli has added ESP to his list of Satanic powers, there was no way for him to know he was bolting at the end of this year. There are exactly 2 ways I see Belli leaving the Pats. 1) they go 0-16 two years straight, and 2) he retires for good. He's king of a multi-time Super Bowl champion team. He is loved by his owner, and basically has full reign over the empire. Why would he even CONSIDER leaving? I'd love to see him go to the Giants. That would not only get him out of our division, but also our conference. But that has about as much chance of happening as us winning the Super Bowl this year.
that makes absolutely no sense. if Belichik was going to leave the Pats for the Giants, why would he care who was the Pats coach, nevertheless not take Mangini with him. you have concocted one of the most specious chain of events I have ever encountered. congrats!
