From a military production standpoint they are working. Russia is barred from acquiring a lot of the parts and components and materials they need to keep their military machine running well. From an economic standpoint the picture is less clear. It is clear that Russia's economy moving forward will have to completely restructure with an eastward orientation to maintain their status as a first world power, albeit second tier first world as they have always been. What is unclear is what the decoupling from the western economy really means to them.
