I mean, seriously, how bad was our kicking game today! Everyone of Nugents kickoffs didn't even get to the ten! We were giving the Pats tons of extra yards each time! Their kicker was getting it in the endzone, why can't ours. Absolutely inexcusable, a kicker is a definite need this offseason.

And while on the subject, Ben Graham. Awful game today. 34 yard average. A touchback. An absolute disgrace! I mean, Mangini didn't even trust him enough to kick it earlier and tried to have Brad Smith run the play instead! What does that tell you huh?

These two have got to go!

What a joke of a thread.. c'mon.. Nugent has hit 22 straight FG's and his FG's today were one of the only reasons we put up any points. Nugent will improve in the offseason with the kickoffs. How can you say that the loss rests on the shoulders of our kickers??? Nugent scored 9 of our 16 points. Graham wasn't great but the loss was in no way his fault.

Graham has been overrated by most Jets fans. That is correct. But to me, this game was lost because the Patriots have better players across the board right now.
Also, the key play was the fluky fumble recovery by Vince Wilfork.

I was hopeful, but expected a Jets loss.

This team will be good next season. An excellent head coach is in place now. Mangini is not a clown like Joe Walton, Bruce Coslet, Richie Kotex, and Herman Edwards. This guy has a top football mind like Weeb Ewbank, Walt Michaels, and Bill Parcells.

We need a new kicker? Maybe a kickoff specialist, but Nugent was money this year on field goals. Kicker is probably my least concern right now.

    1. Mike Nugent was 3/3 today, and has made 21 in a row
    2. the play where Brad Smith was put to QB was just to make the Pats burn a Time Out
    3. on most of Nugent's kick offs, we had the chance to stop the return earlier, but we could not tackle today
    4. its tough to have a high average on punts when you are constantly punting from stalled drives where you don't have much room to boom it deep

I'm assuming that this is a joke, trying to reveal Jet fans who are way too harsh about the game, but I could be wrong.

Yeah it was our kicking game that was causing our run defense to give up chunks of yards... it was our kicking that made our running game pretty much ineffective.... it was our kicking game that was picking up our blitzes...
