If the Jets offense and defense play as stupidly as the Vikings offense and defense did, the Jets will be destroyed by the Lions. I am confident that the Jets won't be that stupid, but even if they aren't, this is far from an easy win..
The Lions have won 5 out of 6 now. They are going to hand us a stinging loss if we're not totally focused on them.
Studs: -Quinnen Williams before his injury. Thank God he did not tear his ACL. He is the heart and soul of this year. One month left, but he is easily the 2022 Team MVP to me. -Most of the defense. They held Josh Allen in check most of the game for a second time this season. Really impressive. -Bam Knight. He looks like a potential star RB. He will allow for Breece Hall to get back to 100% next year too. Love the potential of those two together. -Garrett Wilson. Looks like he could be the best Jets WR of my lifetime. Hope he keeps it up. Duds: -Joe Flacco. Just awful. He looks like he doesn't care. Such an odd guy. -CJ Mosley: Played pretty well, but that penalty was brutal and cost the Jets 7 points. If that doesn't happen, and the Jets open the second half with a TD drive and take a 7-0 lead, who knows what happens? -O line: Needed to protect Mike White better. -Michael Carter: People love trashing Zach Wilson, but no one has been more disappointing in 2022 than Michael Carter at RB. He looks small, slow, and terrible. His fumble was embarrassing after Knight was carving up the Bills D. -Braxton Berrios. Dropped another pass this week. Seemed terrible at fielding punts in the first half too. Had that one nice catch from White at least, but he was disappointing overall.
I get that but it did show he's healthy. they also have st brown and chark. not to mention williams and swift in the backfield and a good o-line. that offense is potent. goff is the weak point and he isn't even bad. he's just average. could be a somehwta of a shootout. we are going to need to score at least 20 to win IMO. even the bills dropped 20 on us despite us shutting down allen and the WRs. if Q is out it's gonna hurt.
becuase it's a common play run. the QB is in shotgun so the D doesn't stack the middle, TE goes in motion and hops behind the center and snaps it quick. without the load in the middle on D it's easy to pick up the foot needed for a 1st, had he snapped it we woudl have stopped it. if mosley doesn't do that, they would get it. it's possible f mosley didn't jump, knox still snaps it and gets it since he can clearly see the middle is open. it really was a no win for the D
That's the latest in NFL new plays....the QB steps away and pretends to be motioning towards the sidelines (defense lets up) then the TE jumps over for a quick hike and plow ahead. I've seen this sneak play a few times this year and it always catches the defense off guard. CJ was literally a 1/100th second early from having a game changing play. 100%.
I have seen the QB step away and fake calling out like he is changing the play. I haven't seen a TE line up under center though.
I agree with most of it, but Mosley loses his stud status because he turned what would have been a punt into 7 points for the other team. It should have been a lot closer. For whatever reason MLF is giving Berrios routes that should go to Elijah Moore in the clutch. It happened last game as well. The play calling early in games as well as in the red zone has been very problematic. I don't see the logic of a pass heavy attack into the wind, followed by a run heavy attack with the wind at their back. The flow just hasn't seemed good. It usually gets better late in the game, but early on it has no rhythm at all.
