I know!!! that my whole point. When the season is over what else is there to talk about. you know as well as I do if we were to go 5-11 or worse there would be a lot of people on here would want Eric fired. Look at what they where saying about Chad after we loss to to Pats.
You sound like a long time fan like me cause of your posts. I do understand where you are going with that we may regress. If that regression was to take place however I sincerely doubt if there will be much clamor for Mans head BUT if the regression continued into the following year then the head hunters will be out for his noodle. Your original post was sought of way ahead of the time as Eric said what you posted yesterday. See any of todays papers for reference
Dude, if everybody did what you suggested, there would be 3 posts in this thread. It's not everybody else's fault the premise of all of your threads get blown out of the water within minutes of you posting them. It's yours. Stop posting with your eyes closed.
DUDE.....I wouldn't care if there was only 3 post in this thread. I just don't see nothing wrong with looking at all sides of things good or bad because believe it or not it could happen. We also went 10-6 in Herm 1st year
No way! You mean the Jets could possibly have a sophomore slump?! I guess that thought never occurred to anyone! Let's all sit here and think about 'What if we suck next season?' five minutes after the previous season ended! Before the Jets make a single move for the offseason. There's really a point in that! Yes, Herm went 10-6 in his first year, and anybody who actually paid attention during the two HC rookie seasons can tell the difference in 1000 different ways. One team was immediately rebuilt and the other was left mostly intact with a slew of exprienced veterans, including a future HOF back and the best run-blocking offensive line in the league. Herm's team in his rookie season played mostly veterans who had experienced the 1998 postseason. Now, can you tell the difference or should I find a Morse code translation engine to break it down into beeps and boops for you?
And don't forget...2001 was the Year of Shreck...we almost blew games against Carolina and Cincinnati when they both sucked big time...
A tough schedule is good for the team. All the elite teams in the league beat on the middle of the pack, and some elite teams on their schedule, and that's the type of schedule we are going to get. In order to prove we are heading in the right direction, that's exactly the type of opponent we should get. After a 10-6 season in a rebuilding year, you shouldn't be worried about the next year, especially when you want a Super Bowl in the near future. Who cares who we face.
This is a misstatement. First of all Buffalo has several FAs, only a couple of whom are "key" players that they would try hard to keep. 1)The main ? is Nate Clements who wants to test free agency. He's one of the top CBs in the league, and a key on the defense, so the Bills will try to keep him. 2) Another keeper is Mike Gandy, converted from LT to LG. He's a lousy LT but a good run blocking LG and decent in pass protection. The Bills will try to sign him as a LG to keep stability on the Oline. 3) London Fletcher-Baker has probably played his last game as a Bill. He's a quality guy, a team leader, and still a good MLB, but the Bills need a bigger, run-stuffer at that position. London just doesn't fit the new defensive scheme real well. Everyone else who's FA is expendable if they ask for too much. The Bills have $ 30+ million in cap room, which is more than the Jets have. They are looking for a DT and a MLB on D and a RG on O. If the Bills follow last year's script, they will look for younger vets without big reps and their best years ahead of them.
It is a tougher schedule and they might not have as good of a year, but they're gonna have to lose 2 QBs in the same game again in order to go 5-11.
As I look at it. #1 Jetsfans posts sucked all last season. Look at the post history, and we did good. So what would happen if his posts were good? I am willing to bet his posts will still suck and we will be fine.
