Great coach... even with the 4 Super Bowl losses.
I dated his niece back in the late '80's... but never met the man.

For the record the Jets didn’t play the Vikings often during Grant’s tenure but did win 3 of the 4 times they played against his team.

A good old fashioned coach ….

Grant is a tough coach, he even went out in short sleeves in 0 degree weather a few years ago! 95 years old is a good run! Rest in peace Mr. Grant

Disagree....a GREAT COACH...and an even BETTER person.

God Bless Him. He will be missed by ANYBODY who appreciated sports and football and remembers guys like him, Tom Landy, Hank Stram, Weeb Ewbank, etc. on the sidelines back in the late-1960's and 1970's.

Bud Grant was an interesting guy.

He played on the 1950 Minneapolis Lakers team that won the NBA championship. The next year, he was playing professional football for the Philadelphia Eagles. He played in both the NFL and CFL and coached in both leagues, too.

He hated Vince Lombardi and considered him a bully and an asshole.

Not sure how or why anyone is "shocked" when someone dies at 95. o_O The saddened part, of course. RIP.
