It been a mixed bag at TC so far and I reserve judgement for the Preseason... when the bullets fly, we'll see if he has improved. Hope so for our sake but call me dubious...
Watching him proves my point. Slips on a scramble, over throws another. Please stop lying to yourselves. Scrap him
Zach has to play with confidence and only way he knows how....is he needs to play loose like Mahomes. the problem is here's not that good when he plays like that....in the NFL. Any other version of Zach will just be average at best no matter the system.
I don't understand all these posts claiming re how talented Zach Wilson is. Say what? What has he shown in his first two years in the NFL? Squat. Tonight he made a total of ONE good throw wherein the WR made a very difficult catch . Otherwise he was 2-4 for 8 whole yards. He also airmailed a pass 10-15 yards ahead of his WR, slipped on 3rd down, and had another 3rd down pass batted back. Then, at the end of the game, Collingsworth said Wilson showed "progress" tonight." (????) It would be a huge error to ever give Wilson a 2nd NFL contract, but Douglas WILL do it to convince himself Zach was a great #2 overall pick.
Its mental illness to think that ZW is talented--well, maybe at banging cougers. But as a NFL QB, he's worthless
The worst thing that happened to Zach tonight was finally completing a long sideline ball. It's the only pass he has any confidence in, and it's such a low-percentage throw.
The bold is such a crack of selected nonsense. Minimize the good and maximize the bad. If you knew anything about that pass you would know is was nearly perfectly thrown. Slipping after properly diagnosing the play and running is another example of your one sided observations. Par for the course.
In a perfect world we won't see Wilson on the field at all this year as Rodgers is the picture of health.
In a perfect world Zach sees lots of fourth quarter action as we build big leads and can sit Rodgers at the end of games.
Saw some good last night. Saw some familiar last night too. He didn't look as bad as in the Jags game but he certainly didn't look great either. Kid might be a great backup one day and perhaps the light will come on as well. Not a big fan of Hackett but Rodgers loves him so, time will tell if this entire situation will work out or another Met like no show is in the offing.
Zach Wilson continues to be the only QB I’ve ever seen who is better at throwing the long ball than a short pass…
