The Raiders are reportedly working out contract details to make Chargers receivers coach James Lofton their next head coach.
Just Al Davis being Al Davis. While the football world talked about everyone but James Lofton, Davis apparently is going to the 50-year-old Hall of Fame wideout. Lofton interviewed in Oakland and Buffalo last year. If hired, and we stress if because this is Al Davis, Lofton will inherit plenty of talent on offense and a fully functional defense led by Rob Ryan.
