What if we suck next year? I'm way too excited about this JETS team and the future to even think that way. We just came off a great surprise of a season and have FA and the draft to look foward to. I'll deal with sucking 10 mos. from now ( if that is the case) But i don't feel we will. We might have benefited from a weak schedule but that does not negate the fact the team improved as the season went on a did some real positive things including the 5th seed in the playoffs. There is no reason, IMO, to not expect improvement next year regardless of who we play. I just can't wait to play the PATS again. If we beat them twice next season i'll feel good regardless of how the rest of the season goes, throw in a few against the PHINS and BILLS, even better maybe one against the GIANTS.....DALLAS...PHILLY... sucking's for kids!
They won't suck. They may backslide some, considering a harder schedule, the likelihood of someone getting injured at a bad time next year, the Pats picking ahead of them in the first roundats_suck: and the Bills finishing strong. A disappointing 7-8 win season is very possible. But as long as they're competitive, and they will be, they won't suck, not like last year. Just another step to building a dominant team. I see some light at the end of the tunnel.
if we don't make the playoffs next season I'll beat there will be a lot of people on here wanting Eric fired.
I guess a slight let down next year is possible, but I doubt it. I really think Mangini and company have a good plan and I expect to go further next year even with a tougher schedule.
i agree...that was the mentality of the OLD jets regime...this is a new organization...with a few upgrades at positions and another year in the offensive and defensive system, this team should have a good shot at the playoffs
What if we suck for an entire decade? Oh wait, we did for the entire 1970's. Get a grip or take a pill.
If the Jets suck next year so be it. It's not like I haven't seen them suck before. If I remained a fan since 1981 there's no going back now.
Wow this has to be the most well thought out and designed thread I have ever seen. My thoughts on the op's question inescapingly leads me to this question. When you guys go shopping do you use paper or plastic?
IMO that will cause CHAD to get a seat on the bench and KC will be the starter for the rest of the season. if we start losing to tougher teams, why keep CHAD in there. It is best to develop the kid for the long haul! Eric will get this team back on track very quickly!
Yep I saw I10 was shut down which is a big deal. There was a goodie in Buda involving 2 tractor trailers & a car & naturally the car lost & the the people in the car are no more. I restricted myself to the house to insure I wind up with no broken bones or worse then that. Suppose to hit 40 here later today so it will be safer to move about
Some might defend a person that posts a thread like this because it gets a lot of hits. Isnt the real reason that after thumbing through threads that make you use your mind, threads like this just let us vent to posters that have no right owning a computer? I say yes. Like getting a liscense to drive a car...the day will come when you need to pass a "just checking to see if you are really human" test to go online and "drive".
