A bit of an over reaction....

 

To me it's not even a question - he combines a weak bat with poor catching fundamentals (he's lazy on balls in the dirt, and has absolutely no catching IQ). They might as well play the other weak-hitting catchers who at least know how to play the position. They need to send him down to learn the position, and if he's not capable of doing that, trade him before everyone else figures it out.

 

Well, Blackburn sure as hell isn't the answer - who's next up?

 

Seven walks through five innings, including two with the bases loaded. This team looks so bad.

 

Hopefully, Manaea will be back soon and pitch like he did last year. Blackburn blows.

 

Wheeler V. Tidwell tonight. Hello, 2nd place. This will be a 3-team race until the end.

 

Philly about to surpass us and then in a few weeks Atlanta.

Thank goodness the team wasn't stupid enough to think that the fluke home run yesterday meant that they should keep Alvarez in the bigs.

Going to the game tomorrow with the team having lost 9 of their last 10. And, it's forecast to be 96 degrees at game time. Good times.

 

No worries, Frankie Montas goes tonight. Good God, this team is awful right now.

Nah, it is too soon, but that was funny.

 

Hot, sucky, night at the ballpark. Montas gets full credit, the rest of the pitching staff is pathetic.

 

9 more walks. Bad pitching and no hitting. At one point, we were 22 games over .500; now we're 12.

 

Another starter goes down. I mean wtf?

 

It was pretty obvious that it was an achilles injury the moment it happened. In all likelihood, we won't be seeing him again until next summer.

A great way to ruin two excellent back-to-back games against Atlanta.

 

You can never have enough pitching.......that adage rings so true.

 

At this point are we buyers or sellers ?
