Buyers for sure, and they'll have to overpay for quality pitching. Plus, we're getting nothing offensively from the catchers.

It’s hard to reconcile the payroll with this level of sucking! Stearns built this pitching staff by stockpiling arms off the trash heap and hoping things would just magically work out. The offense I mean too many automatic outs. They just look like a very bad team!

A three-game series against a last-place team, and they get outscored 30-4! Sure am glad that that players-only meeting turned things around today ...

Two hits in Game 1; let's hope they can at least double that in Game 2.

Mets need to immediately fire all of their athletic training staff. This crap has been happening for years.

Pitching Diaz up 6 is so ridiculously stupid! Especially considering tomorrow’s going to be a bullpen game. Like come on man!

I assume that expectations for tomorrow are so low (Fried probably going up against a pitcher making his MLB debut [Brandon Waddell]) that Mendoza decided to go all in on this game once Stanek screwed up the actual plan (him pitching two innings).

Another great job by Stanek, coming into a 1-0 game, facing seven batters, and yielding four walks and a home run.

The BP is scary. At least DP pitched well in his last 2 outings.

Senga goes tonight, hopefully he gives us some length.

Four innings from Senga, and then the inevitable bullpen collapse on the road.

Mets shockingly come back with 7 runs in the 8th and 9th, thanks to Vientos, Lindor, and Soto.

Were they just being cautious with KS? Please tell me he didn't tweak anything.

They had had him on a 70 pitch limit from the start, and he needed 68 pitches to get through four shutout innings. No ill effects have been reported.
