If one or two QB's come to be great guys, will my bad curse be lifted for future or am I still be the jinxing bad juju guy for draft classes?
On the upside, if John Mateer, Carson Beck and Drew Allar are sitting in the front row at the Heisman ceremony, you’re off the hook. Downside is, if the Jets draft any one of them, next August you’ll want to start a new thread.
Carson Beck… heh. Don’t listen to me, just listen to the broadcast team. Beck dumps to Brown - a little bit behind him - rumbles 16 yards out to the 40. Beck, just a little behind Lofton on that one. ….and so on.
The Saints look incredibly bad - I cannot see us beating them to the #1 pick and the Titans will be right there as well.
At this point, I think the only thing worth talking about is who is the 2nd best QB in this draft (because we all know we will win a meaningless game in December that knocks us out of getting the top QB).
Judging by today's gameplan, the Jets do not trust Fields to throw the football. Tells me barring a huge reversal, Fields is one and done here. The way this team is losing game after game tells me we're gonna be in the top 5 so there's some upside to the shit we're enduring.
Yeah i don't get being mad the jets aren't winning. The jets are getting over a half decade of stink out that was left by McCagnan, JD, Saleh and Adam Gase. They are insanely broken and it's going to take time to fix. There's going to be more vet players leaving before the start of next year too. The stink runs deep. They also aren't very talented. Glenn and Grand Master Mougy may not be able too, but I the Jets are actually playing with urgency and fight for 2 out of 3 games. I have one doubt the jets would have lost by over 2 scores game 1 and 3 previous years. I didn't watch the Bills game but I assume it was not the best effort.
I am trying not to get too worried if the Jets pick up a win or two - just need to get lucky - 2018 draft and the two best QBs and two of the best in the NFL were the third (at #7) and fifth (at #32) QBs taken that year. I know the Jets have zero luck and will take the wrong guy but you have to think that eventually they will get it right by accident
we passed marino, lamar jackson, josh allen... doesnt matter where we pick our scouts dont know their ass from a hole in the ground
Maybe we should have three categories - guys worth spending a first round pick, guys you wouldn't mind picking in later rounds, and guys you want nowhere near the Tri State area. I'm not sure I'd put ANYONE this year in Category 1. A crapload in Category 3. Sam Leavitt I'd put in the lower half of Category 2. Barely. I forget who first pointed out Dylan Lonergan, but the more I see of him, the more I want to stick him in the upper half of Category 2. Today isn't even his best game. He's like a varsity QB playing with a JV supporting cast. EDIT: just as I say that, Lonergan throws a pick in the end zone on B.C.'s last shot at pulling out this game. Figures.
Not to kick kids when they're down, but Nico - geezus. What a disastrous way to manage a college career.
Brook, this curse has been around a lot longer than you've been alive, I'm assuming. Not your fault...
Allar was bad in a big game again my guy Sellers has been shaky all year Nico stop now. Maybe the snack bar is hiring Nussmeier…. ? Ehhhh you want more for sure idk maybe this class isn’t so great
