Im not anti-Glenn, I just don't think this job made sense for a rookie head coach. Heck even an experienced head coach would have trouble turning this around but at least someone with a proven record would have better odds than a rookie.

It had nothing to do with Rodgers bro, it has to do with Woody and little brick wanting to meddle in every day decisions and a experienced head coach won't come here and let them do this, so they keep hiring people to be their puppets.
Almost as long as we haven't made the playoffs for, Id take playoffs with Mccarthy instead of aiming for 0-17 this year. Making the Playoffs would be like winning the superbowl at this point.

Mccarthys contract expired with Dallas but I get your point. Personally I really wanted Jim Harbaugh a year ago. I know he wanted to go to the West Coast but Woody could have made him an offer he couldnt refuse if he truly wanted to fix this team.
Yeah the craziest part is we could of made a play for him and instead tried to give Saleh another shot only to fire him midseason, probally the most genius move Woody ever made!
Same that was my main choice. Im not in love with McCarthy but he at least was the least riskiest option which I feel like at this point the franchise needs minimum risk. A rookie head coach is just high risk and the fanbase will turn on him fast because he is such an unknown while an experienced head coach, at least you have something to give reason to believe they can turn it around.
