True but the odds of Glenn being the next Harbaugh low sadly.

The point is, every good coach in NFL history was a rookie coach at some point. That by itself is not a disqualifier. However, what I am seeing from Glenn so far does not inspire me at all, rookie or not. I couldn't care less for moral victories, and he is again acting like we had one. In a game where we did not belong on the same field as Bucks for 3 quarters we got one the rarest plays in NFL history, a blocked kick from easy distance returned for a TD to take the lead with two mins left in the game, instead of the game being iced. And we wasted it with our shit defense against Baker missing 3 top OL and 2 top WRs. It's just brutal how we find ways to lose making the same mistakes again and again and again.

Every coach is a rookie at some point but how many rookie coaches are inheriting a team that hasn't made the playoffs in 15 years.

It falls back on Woody Johnson. Hiring a rookie head coach was the wrong move considering the state of this franchise.

I do agree I don't like what I am seeing. The idea of Glenn was that he would bring a sharp brand of football. All we have seen is the continued sloppiness, errors, poor play calling/adjustments, etc. With that said it is only 3 games. They need to beat the Dolphins period. Win a game. It goes a long way.

Only reason Woody hires rookie coaches is to control them, idiot knows nothing about football and acting like he is jerry jones and his madden gm son is even worse. I wouldn't be suprised if 4th and short plays are radioed in to the offensive coordinators headset from Brick Johnson based on something he found on madden.

so far, only three games, but I’ve seen no difference from past teams…we still make stupid pre snap mistakes lining up, we still have stupid penalties…Clemons was good for his penalty again this game. This team does NOT look sharp. It doesn’t look disciplined.

And did anyone here doubt that we would lose that game today when the Bucs had almost 2 minutes left needing only a FG?

We all KNEW our D would fold.

This is the same old shit we’ve been watching for years. Stupid play. Bad mistakes at inopportune times. For whatever reason, we STILL have NO clue how to defend a fucking screen pass, nor do we have a clue how to run one.

I hated hiring another defensive rookie for HC, and so far, small sample of only three games, I have seen absolutely NOTHING to convince me I was wrong.

    2-1 ATS.

This is a cope. It is also a fact. We are 10 seconds away from 2-1.

Sucks to be 0-3. It also seems there are a lot of people who were waiting for Glenn to fail. We weren’t going anywhere this year, and I think the progress needs to come over the span of 17 games, not 3.
With that said , that was quite the Merton hanks impersonation after the blocked fg

I don’t think anyone is waiting for him to fail. So far we’re 0-3, our defense is absolutely the worst I’ve seen from the Jets in 2 decades, we make the same undisciplined mistakes, and our offense is putrid. We’re waiting for him to succeed, thus far he has shown no sign of that. And yes, that dance was awful. Rex had feet, Gase had his eyes, Glenn has his dance.

Last 3 games certainly makes me miss salehs defense.
It’s still too early though. If it’s still like this after 8-10 games…..

You wanna talk about accountability Aaron Glenn and act like you just won the Super Bowl on the sidelines when you haven’t won a nfl game yet? Fire your boy Wilkes this week because he clearly sucks at his job and find someone else.

I agree you can’t fire Aaron Glenn yet but you can fire Steve Wilks or put him on the hot seat , defense is Giving up 31 points a game when before ulbrich took over practically the same defense - dj reed was one of the best in the nfl. He clearly sucks at his job fire him now and try to salvage the season! Offense is actually clicking this year but the defense is brutal so atleast try to make a change there.

we put up points 2 out of 3 games and looked competent when is the last time you can say that about a jets team? 1st game we looked like one of the best offenses in the league when is the last time you can say that about the jets especially during the Hackett era? Remember last year we had davente Adam’s right and couldn’t score for shit now we have 1 legitimate wide receiver followed by all trash boxes and still putting up points?

I'm not impressed so far. They're 0-3, the defense has been bad and a lot of the same mistakes and errs from years' past are here. I was supportive of the Glenn hire though I'll say I do worry if the media and outside noise gets to him and hope he has strong enough skin to handle this and withstand these early struggles.

Now, that said, it's just 3 games. And for all the issues brought up with coaching, many of them valid, to me, there's one pivotal problem now and for many years past: QB play. That's it. When they had good QB play in week one, they were in position to win and there was a better feeing about the team. When QB was awful last week, they got killed. And today, when QB play improved in the 4th quarter, they made their run. It's not that simple. But that's the biggest key.

Unfortunately, Glenn is a rookie HC. Their OC is new in his role and basically the whole regime is new year. And the talent is bereft in numerous areas. I'm disappointed with how the team has looked for much of the first three games, but it's only 3 games. Nobody is getting fired. Let's see if they can grow and figure things out. Things can change quickly in this league.

Crazy how if a couple of plays went differently this year we would be 2-1 now, talking about playoffs and how great Aaron Glenn is, now we are talking about demise hahaha. I was thinking and if we just get rid of all the dumb players on this team like clemens or the ones with a losers mentality and sign some leaders and players who play hard and hate losing, next year we have a chance to be good. The last time the Jets made the playoffs was when they had vocal leaders like Bart Scott who hated losing, now realisticly speaking which one of these pussies are the vocal leaders of this team and know nothing but losing?

Yeah, we gotta give it more time, but having the season end in September at 0-4 to me is a very tough hill climb for AG to ultimately be a successful coach with the Jets. Hopefully we get the next game to go 1-3. I never thought I would say this, but I am beginning to appreciate Saleh's defense more now after seeing what Glenn is doing with similar players. Saleh is a solid defensive coach, no question about that. SF top 3 in defense now, while we are bottom 3. And even before Rex and Bowles had good defenses. It would be nice to have a defensive coach who at least can build solid defense. It did get better from 1st two game, so maybe they will step up on Monday night? One can only hope...

Saleh was 10 times the DC Glenn or Wilks ever thought of being.

We barely could move the ball against the Bucc's until it was too late. I cannot agree.

We put up points yesterday because the Bucs, for whatever reason, stopped blitzing. They blitzed for three quarters and our OC made no adjustments. If the Bucs didn't take their foot off the gas for an entire quarter there's high odds that game ends with them in the 30s and us in single digits.
