Mendoza is interesting to me. Have to admit I haven't watched any of his games. But he's putting up big numbers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Allar and Nussmeier are so frustrating because they SHOULD be studs. Everyone keeps waiting and hoping to see the consistency. Allar gives me PTSD from Christian Hackenberg pick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So tough to like them, or any other draftable QB. It's like they're all stiil stuck on 2024. Allar never did anything to make me want the guy, but I was sure if Nussmeier would cut out the stupid throws, he was the cream of this crop. He didnt, and he isn't. But no one else is either. I wish they'd change the draft rules to allow teams to use draft picks for the first option on undeclared players who stay in collrge another year. Like NHL and MLB used to do, and may still do for all I know. 2027 should be a pretty good QB year.
Always a crap shoot especially with QBs…a few months ago everyone was saying this next year’s class is going to be epic…so far I haven’t watched much college ball to be fair but from everything I’ve been reading it’s not looking to pan out that way We’ll see… And not for nothing, but Jaxson Dart looked very good in preseason and just beat the Chargers today…not too shabby
Fair point. I thought Jaxson Dart was Fool's Gold - just a product of the Lane Kiffin offensive funfest. Maybe he was something after all.
Manning is the best bet because you're betting his family won't let him fail. And I'd take that bet. He's gonna wind up on New Orleans though.
Have you guys watched a second of Arch this year? He’s not coming out. If he comes out he’s a fringe 6th round pick because of his name only. He’s been awful and he’s playing with a top 3-5ish roster in the nation.
Mateer is going to miss the meat of the SEC schedule, come back for a couple games at the end, then skip the bowl game for the NFL. He will be the most polarizing prospect in the draft
I didn't even realize he was hurt!! I liked what I saw of him in the Michigan game and I thought he'd be a front runner for Heisman.
There's two ways it goes from there: -we draft him 4th overall, he's terrible -literally anyone else drafts him and he's great
Welp. You weren't wrong. At least Mateer gets to tell his grandkids how he spent one glorious week in 2025,at the top of the Heisman odds. Still early, but this is amusing. Raise your hand if you had Dante Moore leading the odds around the midpoint. How'd you like to be crisping up in the UCLA dumpster fire right now.
Allar is a bum. Don't want him even in the 5th round. Proven loser. All the tangibles and none of the intangibles. I'd take a late round flyer on Diego Pavia from Vanderbilt. Dude is a dog and would be a perfect fit for AG. Short but has a decent arm and plays with extreme intensity every down. He's the QB version of Cam Skattebo.
Pavia is suing the NCAA to try to get his 7th year of eligibility so he might not even have to come out lol. I love watching him play in college and he most certainly is a dog but I don’t think he is really worth much at the next level. Agreed on Allar. They beat up on a bunch of mediocre Big Ten teams and lose to anyone with a comparable talent pool to them. Then they luck into a first round matchup last year against a undermanned Boise State team in the playoff last year.
I think I’m leaning into Jayden Maiava or Dante Moore as my guys if they come out. My concern with Moore is he stands behind a brick wall at Oregon. I’d bet Mateer goes back to school and can’t Nussmeier apply to be a graduate transfer? Maybe he goes to Notre Dame. I think Sellers goes back too and likely transfers when Beamer maybe goes to try to fix his dad’s school in VT or Florida. The class could thin itself out rather quickly but that would create a big ol’ void with Mendoza billed as the top guy and Moore/Maiava competing for the top billing.
