Dolphin secondary is shit. Storm Duck is out too I think. It’s now or never for Justin Fields. 25 completions
SQUISH DA FISH!!!!! Watch them jump and twist while we hold our line! Gaff em in the head. Make the decks awash in their blood. GET THE WIN!!! GO JETS!!!
I'm finding it god damn near impossible to even want to watch this game, let alone get excited for it. Monday night games are the worst, especially when your team is probably going to be 0-4 after it.
"It is much better to set up an objective, even if it be beyond your reach, than it is to give up the struggle at the outset." WC GO JETS!!!
You got anything better to do on a Monday nite? I'll watch until the game becomes unwatchable. I want to see how this team responds with its back literally against the wall. The season is on the line today and a blowout loss means there's no real reason to expect anything else until draft day '26. It also would be a huge indictment of the Glenn Regime as well. I think Glenn needs this win more than the team does at this point. Tonite is huge for Fields too. He fcks this up, and he knows his ticket is punched for departure and a Jet 1st rd. QB pick in '26. Tyrod is safe as he's the bridge and probably the mentor for the new Jet FQB. Fields otoh, will become just another footnote in the long line of Jet QB failures.
I guess for me I just can't get too excited even if we come out and win. Hooray, we didn't embarrass ourselves against a team equally as bad. What does that solve? We still have one of the worst rosters in football and we're relying on this front office to draft the savior in 2026. I do believe in Glenn but rookie coaches aren't winning with this roster, some vet coaches probably aren't winning with this roster. We have an insanely long way to go and I'm all for being patient and letting it happen but I also can't invest in the short term in the meantime. This current iteration of the Jets doesn't deserve it. I've said it plenty of times but from the day we hired Adam Gase I've been apathetic. Wake me up when there's something worth waking up over. A win against the Dolphins with a bridge QB isn't that.
Its hard to say what will happen in this crapfest. Since Miami has a better roster and is at home I'll say they break a 37-37 tie with a late game drive, and win 44-37.
Well, while I don’t disagree with the disappointment of a long history of failure, and continue to keep my hopes in check, we can’t change the entire roster in a year, or expect miracles. But we certainly should expect a hard fought battle with the talent that we have and to win against teams that are similarly constructed. That would be a plus for me. Giving up is never an option for a professional team. But to your point, is certainly not the time to invest a lot of the fans energy nor time into this team till they prove us change is actually for the better.
There is no way this team is breaking 40 points tonight. I like the optimism though. I say 27-24 Dolphins.
Not disagreeing. But competing with teams on the same level as us doesn't do it for me. That's what we're SUPPOSED to do. I guess that's a step up from anything we've done since 2015 but competing against another team in shambles doesn't move the needle. That's a moral victory I refuse to celebrate.
We True, Í will accept the win without fanfare, nothing to celebrate, but a positive step. The inverse could be the beginning of an even more depressing trend.
Oh I'll be happy if we win, because it would be really fun to beat a rival in their own house to send them to 0-4 and most likely get their coach fired. But I'm not gonna have any delusions about what we actually are: one of the worst rosters in football with a long way to go and inexperienced people leading the charge who we have to pray learn from their many early mistakes (Gipson, Clemens, Stephens, Cisco, day 3 picks).
Yeah…especially since we are not favored and will most likely lose this game if our defense plays like it’s played for 3 games already As bad as the Dolphins are, we are the same…just like we are looking at them thinking we should win this game, they are looking at us the same way. And if we lose, the pressure on AG and the team is going to be huge…
I said it since the Dolphins lost to the Colts and everyone acts like they’re the 2017 Browns - the Dolphins aren’t as bad as advertised. The Colts are 3-1 and should be 4-0 if Adonai Mitchell doesn’t fumble a 76 yard TD for a touchback. They hung with the Bills and lost by a score to a division rival in the Pats. The Jets also aren’t as bad as the meltdown here indicates after 3 games. We’ve lost two games by a combined 4 points. Got blown out by the Bills and all which sucks but meh.
I'm definitely not taking the Dolphins lightly. What their personnel does well and what ours does awfully works out in their favor big time. Soft zones against Hill and Waddle is a nightmare, not to mention Achane on the edge or adding him as a wrinkle underneath. I'd hate this matchup even if we did win the two we barely lost.
As bad as we've been historically, the difference between the top teams and the NYJ today is as wide as it has ever been IMO. There is so much great football being played by teams like Bills, Chiefs, Lions, Vikings, that the Jets should not even be in the same league. NYJ can't block, cant throw, cant cover, cant tackle--its horrible. A few decent plays can't win anymore--some of these teams are playing lights out on every down--football has never been played better IMO.
