There is a huge talent gap between the Jets and most teams in the NFL. We may have names, but the reality is that we don't have a winning system or a coaching staff that knows how to win. Time for a ROSTER PURGE. 80% gone. Trade whatever names we have that other teams might want for picks. We can lose without the high priced talent.
Well we finally have an average OL (better than years past), we have a decent group of RBs, and I guess that’s about it on the talent front. We need serious help at DE, CB2, S and LB, so basically all over our D, and how strange is it to say that about the Jets. We have a LOT of needs no doubt…starting with QB, WR2, DE, CB2, maybe in that order But I think with better coaching we are not 0-4…we could’ve (should’ve) won the Pitt game, and this game was winnable as well. But oh well, this season is already over before October, our coaches have no clue what to do about penalties and fumbles outside of Glenn talking about them. It’s a bit unbelievable to me that we have ZERO take aways after 4 games. Just a lot of shit to fix…but this team feels more lost than last year, and that’s saying something. We are looking at two more losses because I’m sorry, Dallas may NEVER stop scoring on us, and I think Denver’s D can hold our offense to under 100 yards total. These next two weeks are going to be brutal to watch
Brutal penalties and mental errors should be all set now @RichCimini Hearing loud voice through the wall of the Jets’ locker room as we sit in the press room: Sounds like an angry Aaron Glenn screaming at the team. And he has a right to be pissed. #Jets
Fck that. Screaming is just noise that gets filtered out. Consequences hurt more and Glenn needs to start benching guys AND getting in his coaches' asses about their game planning/executions. There's not enough talent on this roster to compensate for shit coaching.
Given how the penalties and mental lapses have somehow gotten worse, you almost have to wonder if it hasn't happened already.
Speaking of... anybody know what he's referring to? Connor Hughes @Connor_J_Hughes I will not write about what happened between Aaron Glenn, Garrett Wilson on sideline.
Glenn needs to take a hard look at his coaches. Tanner calling games like he scared to let Fields throw. Wilks scheming up defenses that get shredded weekly. Not gonna put all of this on the players. Glenn needs to get in his coaching staff's asses as well. This shit needs to be fixed or else shit will change drastically. Take the playcalling away from Wilks. Get Tanner up in the box so he can see the entire field before calling a play.
Why say anything at all? Can anyone do their jobs around here? NYJ don't win games and the reporters don't report.
Tonight wasn’t a talent gap. It was a discipline gap which ultimately falls at the feet of the coaching staff.
Tanner is learning on the job. I see some good things in between the rookie mistakes. I don’t know that Steve Wilks is doing.
Exactly what Herm Edwards just said on the post-game show. Needs to show the coaches and players game film of every penalty and every turnover to prove how the Dolphins did not beat the Jets, the Jets beat the Jets.
Sounds expensive. I'd just hire people that know what they're doing & work with what I got. Fix or upgrade as I go/as needed.
I do think Tanner needs to be up in the box instead of on the sidelines though. Wilks was just a bad hire. Between the two of them, Wilks walks first would be my guess. Tanner has room to grow whereas Wilks is what we're seeing on the field.
This is such an odd thing for a reporter to say. "I will not report about something interesting I know." - WTF?
