That's exactly the approach most of us should take. This team is trying to come back from the abyss and stay relevant. That doesn't happen overnight, nor does it happen with constant change.

Leaving Ohio, and back to reality. This will be unwatchable by the 2nd quarter. Our qb cannot throw a forward pass.

Vrabel is such a good coach, he’s going to have our offense sputtering even more than usual. I do think that Fields is going to have a way shorter leash. It’s week 11, the evaluation is complete, he failed. I don’t really see a way this game is within reach so it’s hard to say Glenn might make a switch at halftime but he also might make the switch at halftime because we are down 30 and they need a “spark”.

There's no way Glenn can allow another Zero net yards passing day out of Fields. He risks forfeiting all the good will he's slowly starting to gain both in the lockerroom and the Fanbase. Fields is finished here. You can see it in his body language and his demeanor. I can see TT coming in the 2nd half if Fields sucks again. If Engstrand doesn't get his shit together, I can see his leash getting shorter too. His unimaginative, boring, vanilla gameplans while well suited for Fields's limited skillset, isn't working. He waits until his back is against the wall before switching to a more aggressive stance.

We won't win on thursday, but we damn sure better not be embarrassed in Foxboro in front of a National audience. That might trigger Woody into doing something stupid.

When you really break it down, this is an absolute nightmare. Henderson is coming on strong and we just traded our best run defender. Maye is methodical and accurate, we just traded one of the the best CBs in the league and his replacement is out with a concussion. Vrabel is a very cerebal head coach, we have the worst QB in football and it will take a blowout or complete ineptitude to turn to the back up. Christian Gonzales is healthy, Garrett Wilson probably won't play.

I fear a 45-3 or "seeing ghosts" kinda night.

Fields didn't break the 10 yard passing mark until the middle of the 3rd QTR yesterday. He has the mental processing speed of a pocket calculator. I think the Jets might score a couple of field goals. Maybe a STs TD. STD?

Did anyone think Miami would play the way they did against the Bills prob not. Do I think we win Thursday prob not. BUT this is the NFL it's a division game this team might turn a corner.

If we do win it might be season and career changing for our coaching staff.

whats going on with garrett wilson how long is he going to be hurt

I dont see NE putting up 45, Maye holds onto the football too long and if you look at where this defense has seen success this season and where it has played poorly, it had a lot to do with the opposing QB. When facing teams that get the ball out quickly they've been bad (Tampa/Pittsburgh/Dallas), when facing those that hold onto it longer they've been better (Cleveland, Carolina, Denver)

but...only scoring 3 points though that's a possibility. I think it will be more like the Miami loss where we were never really in it because the offense gave us no chance. And then a garbage score at the end makes it closer than it was

I didn't mean actually 45-3, I meant that kind of ass whooping where it was never particularly close.

We should be able to get after Maye, the Pats have given up the 2nd most sacks this year. The problem is without AZ out there he's going to find open men pretty easily and quickly. When players run underneath on us we get completely lost. Brownlee needed a roadmap out there badly yesterday and that was the Browns. I fully expect them to exploit the quick throw.

Garrett is getting an MRI today which to me says he ain't playing Thursday.

Yeah on the 4th down where Gabriel was sacked (yes that should NEVER happen) he had multiple open receivers. The defense got lucky there I agree and dont think it will translate to NE. I think Gabriel truly sucks and is not an NFL QB. Maye looks good

Woody works hard! I see him sitting in his box at the home games. He also was in the draft room AND he spoke to the drafted players on the phone. The guy never rests. How does he do it?!!

Oooooooooo, pretty. God I hate the Pats.

Let Fields do his thing, which is to be terrible and "throw" towards his short bus WRs. No need to win - Lets see this tank out..

ABSOLUTELY has A LOT to do with it.

Primarily the fact that Woody hasn’t built anything, nor has he run anything. I maintain that one of the main reasons why Woody sucks as an owner is not only that he clearly doesn’t know jack fucking shit about football, no, that alone wouldn’t necessarily be a deal killer, but the bigger issue is that he knows even LESS about PEOPLE. He continually hires the wrong fucking people time after time, and he doesn’t understand how to manage a team…he fires the coach and the GM at different times so he ends up with a guy like Rex fighting for his coaching life paired with a guy like Idzik (who was a ridiculous hire regardless of timing) who is on his first time gig, so the motivations are completely misaligned. He then goes to hire Mac who was another fucked up hire, then JD, who at least had the resume, but not the actual talent evaluation skills, then jumps him to fire the coach…just stupid blunder after blunder because he has no idea how to identify quality candidates. And worse, no idea where to go to in order to find the right people to do it…he fucking hired Casserly and Korn Ferry for fuck’s sake.

He’s a clueless fucking idiot who was born lucky. That is it.

Hard to shine as an OC when your QB can’t throw and the D knows it. I have no problem with his playbook, he just can’t use most of it because he can’t trust his QB to execute it.
