Let's see. Franchise QB, franchise RB, and franchise WR. Franchise D line too. That HC job should and will be one of, if not, the top opening in the league. The Gmen have the blueprint for a really good team in the next year or two.
Yeah, I can't defend that. I'd be pissed if I were a Giants fan. On the bright side for them, they will land yet another top 5-7 pick and will be loaded with young talent going into next year. On top of that, they will be a premier landing spot for a new coach. The Belichick rumors are already heating up.
I haven’t verified this but Dart allegedly leads the league in designed QB runs. He’s only started 7/10 games and had two attempts in two of the games he didn’t start. That pairs pretty poorly with going into concussion protocol 4 times in those 7 starts including the debacle against the Eagles where he ran into the tent and basically demanded Dart get cleared so he can go back into the game. I think that was a big factor here.
I don't know if they are a premier landing spot for a coach. The front office is almost as big a mess as the Jets. I wouldn't be surprised to see Belichick make a run for the job. That said, while I think with Jaxon Dart that Belichick would do better than he did with the Patriots before and after Brady, I don't think he'll bring any flash of his glory years with Brady.
