In case anyone is curious... Kid can play. Not the strongest arm, but he certainly has the brains and moxie.
Saw that he was #2, immediately thought we will probably see him by the 2nd half Sunday. It’s a miracle we even got a full game out of Taylor.
Brady Cook will be a nice twist to see in the fourth quarter, after we are up 28-3 after a stellar defensive performance and one TD by Hall, one by AD and one by Taylor.
He played really banged up his entire senior season and played in the bowl game against a usually really rough Iowa team. He ran 14 times for 54 yards off a high ankle sprain and hand injury. Had no real reason to play in the bowl game. Not a lot of NFL talent but definitely a dawg.
Getting second team reps can only help. Assuming Tyrod is most likely going to get dinged up and miss time, hopefully Brady gets a chance. Hopefully he takes advantage if that opportunity comes...
That's a pretty good comparison Byz.. I had completely forgotten about Strev but you're right. Looking forward to seeing the kid on the NFL field against real opposition.
Is it me or does he have the oddest upright running motion. When he cuts it's weirdly so precise. Almost as if a robot on a rail. Strange. I'm pulling for him, Strevler was a great comparison!
I do think he could be a serviceable NFL quarterback someday but it’s not going to be any day this year unless he pleasantly surprises everyone. Absolutely the kind of mentality you want in the huddle, not necessarily the brain or arm you want. But he seems like a dude who would be unbelievably easy to root for.
Cook played five years at Missouri. He appeared in 47 games during that time. Cook completed 65.9% of his passes for 9,251 passing yards, and he had a 50 touchdown to 15 interception ratio.. I didn't know he was a 3 yr starter too. Experience is crucial even at the CFB level.
It's a great bit of tape, it has to be said. When you look at it, you can't help but think why they wouldn't give him a damned shot.
