I love your positivity in this but these are different times. I would completely agree with you.......................if these kids didn't begin making money in college. ALL these kids today it's about the "brand." The NY Jets are not just a bad "brand" move but a colossally bad brand move. It makes a difference.

Not even fucking kidding with this one. I tested my theory last night. I called up a buddy who has a kid who is a VERY VERY good high school QB and asked him. He told me, unequivocally, if his kid was a top shelf college QB, which he might be one day, and the Jets held the #1 pick what would he do? He actually belly laughed, which was kind of humiliating, but he did. He laughed HARD. To quote him, he said, "there was no way on God's green earth he would EVERY let his kid get drafted by the NY Jets if he could help it." He said that is something that gets discussed quite frequently among the top talent in the country. NO ONE want to come to this shit hole, if they can help it. If YOU had a kid and the choice was stay in school and make a cool $2 or 3 million or get drafted 1st overall to a team you knew was going to either destroy your kid's professional career or, just as bad, derail it for 5 to 10 years, would you actually let your kid go to this team? I fucking know I wouldn't.

So, I guess, if I have ANYTHING to be thankful for, it's the fact that the Jets are not drafting at #1 and I certainly HOPE they do not. They "might" get lucky and have one of the QB's fall to them so they can begin ruining their careers.

Is it just the Jets or there are several other teams too? I did hear this narrative from some ESPN guy too who has a podcast with McShea.

Would your buddy's son he would rather go to the Raiders without OL or Browns or the Titans over the Jets? I mean good teams don't usually pick high. Is the Jets situation considered worse somehow? At least we have OL to protect the guy.
