I'm scheduled to be in Indy at 1pm Thursday for the combine; i'll be returning to Jacksonville on Sunday. While I'm there, I'll be posting on this site with some live, behind the scenes combine info. In addition, I will be doing a couple call-ins for radio stations in Jacksonville and Gainesville; I'll be there with The Empire Sports Agency, in which, whom will be representing Marcus Thomas (UF), Josh Beekman (Boston College), Joe Cohen (UF)and Steve Harris (UF). Also, for those of you who may not have heard the news yet, The Empire Sports Agency has just signed it's biggest named client yet in Laveraneus Coles, of our beloved Jets this past Friday morning (02/16/07). Trust me, the Empire will be doing some big things on the scene in the coming years and I'll be Theganggreen's main guy on the set.
I feel I should tell you ahead of time I can't afford to pay for all the latest tips and scoops about Sunday's biggest games, even if it is for a low low price.
Insiders like you make this whole forum thing worthwhile. I'd love to hear anything you can tell us, especially stuff that ESPN doesn't.
umm will I get villafied if I say going to the combine sounds like the most retarded thing Ive ever heard?? ummm j/k bro, have fun ? is that what you say to someone going to the combine? good luck? break a leg? I dunno, I never knew anyone that went to the combine before...youre going to the combine dude?
Well we certainly look forward to your inside reporting of what goes on at the combine that is not on the NFL Network
I had done sports radio here in Jacksonville and have had the privilege of following some of the best high school football in the country. In addition to that, I have had the chance to do some things in the community that has gotten attention. As far as being able to pursue my dream of being in the sports world in some way shape or form, it had to do with hard work, and being in the right place at the right time (another word for LUCK). Also, I have always treated people fairly whether good or bad. Because of how I am, I still would have met Leon, Marcus and a host of others without sports talk radio; fortunately, I was afforded a forum to convey the passion that I have for sports, football in particular, to the people of Jacksonville and they have shown their appreciation while I was on. I honestly think that my biggest asset has been being a New Yorker/New York sports fan. I can honestly say that the New York sports fan is one of a kind and the most knowledgable fan on the planet. Anyway, I love my Jets, and have really come to love this site! I can give this insight every now and then when the opportunity presents itself, but it's the people who are on here every day who follow the Jets just as much as I do or MORE, that make this site what it is!..... I am not trying the phony self-depricating role, I just want you all to know that I do appreciate the good words and let you all know that I'll be here for the site and the people who post on it.
Thanks for the response, It is not oftern we get to do what we enjoy. I love this site also, It allows me to keep in touch with other fans. I moved to D.C. about seven years ago, and while there are some true Jets fans down here, they are hard to come by so finding this site has been great for me as well. Take it easy and I am looking forward to your posts.
