He's running solo today and they're talking NBA and how bad and thuggish it is pretty much...

He starts mentioning fans and says...

"The Jets fan, the Jets fan are BRUTAL when you go in their place."

What? Is that a joke? We are so soft it's amazing. When has Chris ever been to a Jets game in his life anyway?

i guess he doesn't mean in terms of loudness (loudness?). But like in overall intensity. Trash talking, passion etc. That would be my guess. But then again chris russo is full of shit

If that's what he meant, I'm on board with him.... The Jets and Cowboys have no relationship whatsoever, but I brought my buddy to a game once, and he wore an Aikman jersey... got heckled to no end, and had 3 or 4 different guys get in his face all tough until I broke it up.... We're a tough group....

I just think he means in terms of rudeness and class...That the Jets fans are brutal to other people.

This is what I thought he ment and he is still wrong. I was at the Pats playoff game, that game was about 20X worse than anything I have seen at a Jets game. Maybe me section is just easy, but when I was at NE, I was touched and gotten in the face of. I have never seen this at a Jet game.

    Brutal?

Many years ago, I was sitting in my seat in the Mezzanine Section and looked across at some @sshole in a Miami Dolphins jersey taunting the crowd from the front row of the Mezz. This was back in the days when everybody was pretty much totally out of control.

Well, he eventually pissed off enough people because he wouldn't sit down and was totally drunk and out of control, standing up, turning around, flipping the bird, cursing, you get the idea. He eventually pisses off the wrong people and him and his buddies get into a fight with some Jets guys and somebody shoves him and he goes over the side of the f*cking Mezz and lands on his back in the Lower Section. They had to take the guy out on a pizza-pallet because his spine or neck was probably broken.

Brutal? Hell, those Jets fans were polite! We would have killed him right there in the Mezz Section!

I do remember Jerry Rice saying he had never heard such abusive comments from fans as he heard from Jet fans. This was around SF's visit in 1989 or 1992, I forget which. Two bad years to be in front of Jet fans, though.

Brutal to our players and coaches? Yes.

We don't even go into the stadium until the middle of the 2nd. Then get up at halftime and return mid-way through the 3rd.

Well now all our season ticket holders sellout to opposing fans, so it'd be tough to know which team is even being cheered for in Giants stadium.

Guys, the only reason why he mentioned Jet fans was because some dude from Frisco called up and said since he moved to NY from the west coast he's been going to Jets games and how rowdy the fans are. Then the guy said how niner fans were nowhere near as rowdy.

That's when Mad Douchebag made the 'brutal' comment.

Let's face it, we just have a bad reputation from a) general rowdiness (Benigno has even complained about this last season and b) a couple of really bad incidents in the past e.g. fans setting a fire in the stadium a few years back.

If I'm not mistaken, weren't we banned from MNF for a while after one of the Buffalo debacles in the early 90s? I know we were bad, but it was a long time before we ever had a home MNF game again.

I'm not sure if we were actually banned from MNF after that BUF game, but I do remember them banning alcohol for the 05 Pats game after all the insanity at the Sunday night Saints game.
