2 out of the 3 times he has been in the playoffs he has won a game, so where does the one & done come from?? You need more than a Qb to advance in the playoffs. And the Cotchery play was the combination of a great throw, a great read & a great play by Cotch. It was a combination of QB & WR just like every great hook up in history..

Do you think the Jets will make the playoffs next season and if so why?

I can't answer that before I know what our roster is gonna look like.

One of the reasons, as it has been every yr, will be because of the solid play from our underrated QB.

How about this. Once the Jets get their team superbowl ready to you feel Chad can beat Manning, Brady, Rivers, Palmer Or Rothilsberger to get to the superbowl. These are four Qb's that he will have to get past to go to the big one.

He's already led the Jets to a 41-0 playoff win over Manning's Colts and was a kick from winning one over Rothlisberger's Steelers. The latter was with his shoulder needing surgery. Rivers and Palmer have never won a playoff game.

Are you going to continue this all off-season? Chad is the starter until further notice. You might want to change teams if you hate him so much, he's our QB.

Of course he can, he has already led a team that has beaten a Manning led team, do you remember that? He has already led a team that was a competant kicker away from beating Roethlisberger.. What have Palmer & Rivers done to make me think he can't beat them? Shouldn't they at least win one playoff game before we put them in the unbeatable category. You talk alot about one & done in the playoffs yet you just give me two QBs that have actually been one & done the only time they have been in the playoffs.. Rivers led a superior team into the playoffs and was one & done.. Give me a break man..

With that said and you had the choice of Rivers, Palmer or Chad as your starting Qb who would you pick?

We ran that play tons of times this season, and multiple times that game and never had that problem. I'm sure not every time we've run it, it was a backwards pass, but I'm sure that wasn't the first. New England made a good play breaking it up, we made a bad play not diving on the ball.

    Choke? LOL

And 11-26 for 144 yards is good?

Chad played better than that in the Miami game in the bad weather with the flu, and people killed him after that game.

I don't see how Chad hurts the running game. Not having the talent on RB and on the offensive line hurts the running game. 2004 we had an offense that was much more conservative than this one, with a lot less big plays, and we had one of the best running games in the NFL.

Palmer, Rivers, Chad in that order. But the fact is Chad is our Qb and we have no chance to get the other two. That doesn't mean he can't beat them with the right team around him.

this is rediculous! CHAD CANT BEAT PALMER OR RIVERS.

THE DEFENSE BEATS THE OPPOSING QBS!!!!! all chad has to do is beat the other teams defenses. and i know that san diego has a beast defense but chad cant win games BY HIMSELF. he needs help from the rest of the offense and the defense too. do u think that palmer would be as good without housh and chad johnson?? do u think rivers would be as good without tomlinson or gates?? the quarterback doesnt win games, teams win games. if the team plays like shit then the team loses. if the team plays well then the team wins.

That's because we had an offensive scheme that matched up with a D with 8 in the box something we don't want to do anymore. We rarely if ever put 3 WR on the field in 04 we rarely threw to the TE he was primarily an OL in to run block. Now we are running a spread with either 3 wide or the TE out to catch passes. We rarely run with a lead blocker and rarely run 2 TE sets. In order to run out of that kind of O you need a QB who can go up the field outside the hash marks something Chad sucks at.

By the way we fired our OC who came up with that O.

With two equally matched teams Chad will loose that battle with Palmer and Rivers every time and we both know it. Im leaving Brady and Manning out of the equation totally. Those are four qb's that we will loose to come playoff time in the afc alone. If we were in the Nfc then I would be all for building the defense around him but we don't play in the Nfc. With that said we need a Qb that can play with the big boys. At some point our Qb is going to have to make a play or have a drive to get to the dance. What does that say when you will take two qb's who have never won a playoff game over Chad not to mention the other two future hall of fame qb's we face every year in Brady and Manning plus the Hof Defense in Baltimore. Unfortunately the odds are stacked against us with Chad at the Helm.

have u ever heard of an upset?? they play the game for a reason. anything can happen. and guess what, they dont have 2 evenly matched teams.

for example the new york rangers were one of the best teams on paper but sucked ass for years. (when they had lindros bure etc)
for example the new york jets were coming off a 4-12 season and if someone had told me they were making the playoffs this season i would laugh in their face and tell them to see a doctor. games arent won on paper they are won on the feild. evenly matched teams my ass. there is no such thing as "evenly matched teams"

When you say sooner or later he is gonna have to make a play, do you mean a play like the 50 yard bomb to Moss in the playoffs against SD or the 77 yard TD to Cotchery in the POs vs NE or the countless amount of plays he made vs Indy in the POs??

Qb is one position on the field. If all it took was a great Qb to win SBs wouldn't those Qbs you have mentioned have won multiple Sbs already instead of being one & done like they have been, when there team has been good enough to have made the POs?

Chad can't even get 21 points against a good defense in the playoffs! Rivers, Manning, Brady and Palmer can and will get points against anybody! The fact of the matter is you can put Cotchery or Coles on those other teams and they would have better stats than with Chad! Baltimore and SD had the best defenses in football and they both got beat this year. Brady made plays to beat S/D and Manning did what he had to to beat the Ravens and Patriots. You put Chad on the Bengals and their stats go down. Chad Johnson and Chris Henry would go ballistic with Chad underthrowing them on plays when they had the Cb beat by a mile.

Since when is Rivers an elite QB? The guy has the best D in the league the best TE and running tandem in the league and had a decent season that wasn't any better than Pennington's 02 season. Palmer is in a different catagory but Rivers, I'm not sure he brings anything more to the table than Brees did who is also good but not really any better or on a different talent level from Chad.

I want to go into the playoff with a realistic chance of winning and not as a team hoping for the stars to line up for a miracle every year. The Ravens, Colts, Chargers don't go into the playoffs thinking miracle. Next year the Bengals and Steelers will go into the playoffs with realistic chances of winning. Once again we are sitting here hoping the stars line up so our fairy prince Chad can have a miracle so we can win. With Chad at the helm we are not remotely close to the top four teams in the Afc!

Im quite sure a whole lot of other recievers would get to the pro bowl if they had Manning or Palmer throwing them the ball.
