Someone please get rid of Joe now. Jorge comes in to walk, then gets pulled with 2 innings left, and down 2? Obviously the Giambi decision the other night taught him nothing.

Was that really an amazing play? I think you are supposed to make those plays.

Top of the order in the 9th, hopefully the Yankees can keep it at 7-6 until then.

  8. This just isn't our weekend boys. We were due to lose a few to them after the Boston Massacre last year and our current injuries. I'm not making any excuses, cause this really stinks..but w/ plays like that...it all just seems too apparent.

People are reacting to this series like its the playoffs. Settle down, its one series with the Red Sox. We have plenty of time to recover. (if we lose this one)

Come on Yanks just get out of this inning.

But, honestly I know he makes some mistakes and I can see why some people don't like him but I am still a big fan of Torre

In all fairness, the pen can't be held at fault. They pitch every damn day, except the one guy who needs that level of work.

The fact is, Boston is just better right now. Their pitching is good enough to hold the score down enough for their offense to overcome.

The Yankees starting pitching is poor at best right now. No one can reach the 7th, and most of the time, can't even get out of the 6th. When you have multiple pitchers in the pen pitching 10+ times before you've played 20 games, you aren't going to win too many times.

yeah,my point wasthe Don was saying howthe red sox pen was terrible and was going to get beat up by the Yanks this weekend, while the great Yanks pen would be shutdown all weekend. The yanks pen won't be that bad all year, but w/ papelbon as the closer moving everyone else back to more comfortable roles the red sox pen is very underrated.
