On the contrary, I see him on the roster above everybody besides Blanton.

ahahah long time no see. how're you feeling about the draft? i know everyone here is having a heart attack but i'm not feeling too bad about it. we filled some needs and i'm confident the FO knows what they're doing

Thanks for the info, looks like a solid pick for a 6th round selection. Reasonably happy with it, and we'll all have to see how it plays out at Hofstra.

I agree. I believe he will push Clement and Moore for their jobs sometime this season. Not that I've ever seen him, but the write-ups on him sound like they're talking about a first day pick. Small school OL doesn't bother me at all, and he basically shut down Carriker when he faced him...

Probably undercuts Moore in '07, rather than Clement, although I think eventually he's going to be a RT.

I like what I'm hearing about this guy. Maybe he'll be able to make the switch to RT like Fabini. In the meantime, his run-blocking skills sound like they are good enough to move him inside. And you cant beat 316 lbs with "room to grow." We need more beef. The only knock on him seems to be technique, and that can be fixed. Nice pick, glad we didnt have to give up McCairens or Barrett to get him.

  8. I really love this pick. We FINALLY addressed Ol depth in a draft(I don't consider Mangold and Fergy as they were immediate starters).

Sounds like he's got some good athleticism as well as some size.

If you are going to have a few high paid first rounders on your team representing your O line, you need to balance it out with some late round gems who are excited to get a 4 year deal for about 600k per year. Look at the Packers, they have two fantastic Tackles who are both late round picks from smaller schools.

Good depth, maybe a solid guard when Kendall goes or Moore faulters.

Could have been signed as a free agent. I don't think Nicholls State even has any current NFL players. Keep your fingers crossed on this one.

Anyone think there's any chance Bender takes someone's job this year and starts, or is that just completely wishful thinking?

I like the pick. This is what you want to look for in a late rd pick. A player with a lot of potential that can grow and has the drive to succeed.
