MAJOR CHANGES IN GAMEDAY PARKING http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/articles/show_permalink/major-changes-in-gameday-parking In the coming months, construction begins on the New Meadowlands Stadium, due to open in 2010, on Xanadu, the ultimate sports, leisure, family entertainment and shopping complex, and on the new rail line connecting the Meadowlands Complex to the Secaucus transportation hub. One of the New York Jets' priorities during this time is to reduce overall vehicular traffic times, ease congestion and provide ample, well-marked parking for our fans. However, as we work to achieve these improvements, parking and traffic conditions will worsen before they get better. During construction, various lots will be closed at different times and several thousand parking spaces will be lost for the entire 2007 season. games) for cars and SUVs. Anyone who does not purchase Pre-Paid Parking Permits will not be permitted to park in any of the Meadowlands lots. Satellite parking and shuttle service to the stadium from yet-to-be-determined areas will be available. Satellite parking location(s) should be within two miles of the Sports Complex. We strongly encourage carpooling. If your group has one Pre-Paid Parking Permit for a game and you arrive in multiple cars, only one car will be permitted to park at the Meadowlands Sports Complex. All other cars will be sent to the off-site satellite parking lot(s). Though we encourage our fans to enjoy safe and responsible tailgating activities, in an effort to ensure that all those Ticket Why are the Jets instituting a Pre-Paid Parking Permit Program for the 2007 season? Construction of the New Meadowlands Stadium and rail line will begin in the coming months. As a result, we will lose several thousand parking spots for the 2007 season. In an effort to ensure that Season Ticket Holders have access to parking at the Meadowlands Sports Complex, reserved parking will be replaced by a Pre-Paid Parking Permit program. My season tickets arent under my name so I dont get this info in the mail. Looks like a big issue becuase I would need more then 1 pass per game
Why does every thread about season tickets become a champ bashing those who are not holders? You know who sucks? Season ticket holders that sell off their tickets.
Because he has no games or players to gripe about until September. I park way out past the race track, hopefully that will stay intact.
I manage the tickets decide who goes to what games and take whatever tickets I want. But no the tickets aren't in my name. Call me what you want I consider myself a season ticket holder
http://www.newyorkjets.com/media/pdf/2007-parking-alert-stadium-parking-policy.pdf Looks like it will.
This sucks!!! I used to park in lot 6 up front near the entrance to gate "A" for the past 20 years. All my friends know that that is where to find me (and the grill) when they get to go to any games. It's not there anymore. It's under the "Construction zone". Add in that I have to pay for all ten (10) game (and only two (2) week notice to come up with $150 that I didn't budget for) and I'll only make eight if I'm lucky (wife is expecting). The thing is, parking two (2) miles away in a satellite lot is simply NOT an option. Damn, this SUCKS!!!
"Cause" isn't used properly in your sentence. It should be "Because" and even that isn't a winner of an opening. Also, you abbreviated tix, something I don't approve of. It's safe to say that your post sucks much more than the previous poster you've gone out of your way to belittle. Get back to me on that penny stock.
Just got my letter in the mail today. It seems every year the JETS FO does something to get $$$ in advance. -The $50 List -The Date of Season Tix Deadline -Reserve parking -Now this. The price is the same as gamedays ($15x10)and they still give you the option of "Satellite Parking" so it's not a big deal but damn, every year something new.
SCREW THIS! Not only did parking increase (I pay 10 for Continental Airlines), but I oonly go to 2 games a year, so now I need to ask the ppl I sell tix to to buy my pass as well? What about people who live in the city and dont park at the games at all and take Port Authority instead? The justification of "helping parking for season tix holders" is bullshit, its still first come first serve. i dont even know what to do with this. And how dare they charge for fucking preseason. Noone even goes, the lots are not full, the new stadium is bs, it is worthless to be a season ticket holder. My dad has had tix since 1969 and I am suggesting he gives it up. Why shouldnt we just buy games from some guy online and not have to deal with this shit?
Well I bought UNP at $60.00 & now it is $120.00 hey but if you have the cashola go for it. Sorry forgot to include the historical in case U desired to check up on it http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=UNP&a=00&b=2&c=2004&d=04&e=27&f=2007&g=d&z=66&y=792
This is another example of the money-gouging by Johnson and Company (and the entire NFL). IT IS 1ST COME, FIRST SERVED...THERE IS NO REASON TO CHANGE THE WAY PARKING IS HANDLED, EXCEPT TO ENSURE THERE'S A PARKING FEE COLLECTED FOR EVERY GAME. The message board would really become a powerful thing if we could get fans to act together. Imagine if we could get 50% of the season ticket holders NOT TO SEND BACK THE FORM. They would shit in their pants. AND YOU KNOW WHAT...they'd change their minds and let people back in come game day to recoup the lost parking receipts. DO WE KNOW HOW MANY GANGGREEN MEMBERS ARE ALSO SEASON TICKET HOLDERS (AND I'M INCLUDING THOSE WITH THEIR NAMES ON THE ACCOUNT AND THEIR BUDDIES THAT KICK IN MONEY EVERY YEAR)? If we could gain some consensus, maybe we could use this site to make things better for ourselves and send a message that we can't be held hostage for everything in supporting this team.
