Stubhub sucks. Total ripoff. Don't pay above face for tickets - you can get for face or cheaper from people selling at the game.

    1) This is only sometimes true. It swings wildly depending upon how our season is progressing, who we are playing, or a combination of both. Even the weather that day affects the prices. But if we're 4-1 and hosting a division game rival in a beautiful Sunday afternoon 1PM game, you're not going to even get to smell those tickets at face in the parking lot.

    2) The parking fiasco this year will enter into the equation. You're not going to be able to simply pay $15 and pull into the parking lot with a couple of guys in the car looking to buy some tix in the lot. If you don't have a prepaid parking stub, you're going to get shuttled off to some remote location and have to bus it in. I suppose some scalpers will simply move their operation to the remote parking facitlity, but again, if you don't connect there, it'll probably be even harder to connect at the stadium.

Stubhub isn't always the cheapest but they do manage the operation well (much better than ePay, who has absolutely no control over fraudulent tickets whatsoever). At least Stubhub requires the seller to verify the exact seats and ownership and requires the seller's credit card in order to prevent the buyer from being stuck. And many times, I've seen season tickets on sale at BELOW face, so it pays to visit there in your search.

As I said, the only other legitimate source would be Ticketmaster or, better yet, the NY Jets website if you're on the waiting list. Those tickets are all at face... no higher, no lower.

I totally disagree with you since if you wait to 5 minutes after KO you can get them for even less then face if you are willing to give up the 1st few minutes of the game

Of course, you have the right to post any opinion you wish Champ, but your post makes no sense to me given the following:

    1) I'm not sure which point in my post you're "totally disagreeing with." My post makes several points.

    2) Your "wait 5 minutes after KO" doesn't address the demand factor on certain days. A blanket statement like that insinuating that tickets can be easily had at any game is just not true. If we're playing NE and having a winning season, I don't care if you wait around "5 minutes after kickoff" or two hours after KO, you ain't gonna find any.

H'mm lets C my friends have had such success with what I outlined with Mia, Pats, Bears, Colts just to name a few. BTW that includes the Jags PO game some years back. I guess the speculators theroy it is better to lose a little then a lot

Anything is possible. I'm just saying it'll be harder to pick up tickets at the last minute this year, especially with the parking lot restrictions and especially if we get hot. The scalpers will find a way to unload before KO, probably at locations other than the parking lot and particularly in areas other than in front of the gates.

You take your chances by waiting until you get there. Before I got seasons I never went to a game and didn't find tickets, but the price depends on the game, records, weather, etc, as 227 said.

On StubHub they adjust your posted price to how the market is going online. I think some of my later games last year went cheaper than face, plus they take a commission.

In theroy yes you are correct but for those willing to roll dice & give up a few minutes of the game it could be worth it.

That is true but to me it's not worth it. The off season is 8 months long, the games are only once a week for a short period of time and half of them are away. That leaves 8 days a year to go see the Jets, I want to see the whole game. Especially now that we have Justin Miller running back the kickoffs, you never know what you'll miss.

It always amazes me how many people show up after the national anthem. They've got to be newbies who got stuck in last-minute traffic and had to park in Oshkosh or just half-assed Jets fans who are there for a few hours just to say they went to a Jets game. They're the same ones that'll leave early in the 4th quarter.

Like Seafood says, it's only 8 games a year. You'd think more people would want to make the most of that. It's their business what they do, of course, except when it interrupts my viewing of the game because everyone is standing up in front of me to let these late-comer @ssholes into the aisle.

I can't f*cking stand that! First of all, you should be there for the national anthem (I make it a point to see at least some of the warmups). Whatever, ok, they come in late. But to top it off they have the balls to just walk down the row in the middle of a f*cking play! COME ON!!!! Everyone knows there is like 20 seconds, bare minimum between plays, but nooooooo, they have to walk in front of me during the 6 seconds that they are actually playing!

A lot of people don't realize how much fun it is to watch the warmups. If I'm taking somebody new to the game, or some family member who doesn't get to go to a professional game very often, I'll take them in to watch the warmups about an hour to an hour-and-a-half before KO.

My seats are in the Mezz, but I sometimes take them directly to the Lower Level downstairs and somehow get them out to the 50-yard line, maybe like row 10 or so. Perfect place to sit and watch the warmups and see all the players real close. Then we usually wind up eventually getting chased off by whoever owns the seats and we walk up the ramp to our seats in the Mezz. It's a perfect prelude to the game, especially on a warm afternoon or even a Friday night preseason game.

I'll be honest, some of the 1pm games I'm a little late, but it's not for lack of trying. Personally I love the 4pms. I get to check out some of the early games on the Sunday Ticket, it's a 25 minute drive in and there's no traffic because people get there at all different times.

Being late to a game is inexucusable only if you've been tailgating all morning. Otherwise its part of life. Traffic, parking, and the random fence you have to jump. Its all part of the expeirence...

As for me, I get to the games with plenty of time to spare, but not for any of the reasons above (you MUST be there before the national anthem or you'll miss the opening KO, which could be a runback, etc.). I get there fairly early because it's more relaxing to do it that way and I get the parking spot I want. I don't have to put up with the horrendous last-minute traffic. But more importantly, by getting there by 11, let's say, for a 1 PM game, I get to park right near Gate C and more toward the exit opening that leads out to the TPK. I walk out Gate C, get in my Tahoe and I'm on the TPK in 2 minutes.

So yeah, it's good to get to the game on time, but the best reason is you can get home in reasonable time too.

I don't get this parking lot argument. Why can't you just park in the remote lot, take the bus to the stadium, and then find people selling tickets by the gate?

As for buying tickets being difficult during a popular game, I don't buy that argument either. Yes, it's harder but still not very hard. So many seats are corporate owned that there's always plenty of leftover. I have never been to a Jets game, no matter how popular or important, where there weren't plenty of empty seats around. (Never been to a playoff game, though)

It's not an argument, at least not on my end. My only point was that if someone is looking for tickets to a game, it's a hell of a lot better idea to get them ahead of time than to try to pick them up at the game, especially this year. That's all, that's my point. Which sounds better to you:

    1) Buy tickets on Stubhub (perhaps even including the parking pass).

    2) Wait until game day. Assemble your friends and drive to the Meadowlands. Get rejected at the parking lot because you don't have a pass. Drive to the remote location and pay to park there. Then get on a bus bound for the stadium and leave all your tailgating equipment, beverages and food behind. Arrive at the parking lot and go hang out for several hours at the gate, waiting for some scalper to come along and fleece you silly.
