Sorry if this was already posted, but I doubt it was considering it's only for insiders.

? What Len Pasquarelli says: There are only about two summers left to catch the Jets at Hofstra, on Long Island, before the franchise relocates training camp to New Jersey. But a trip to Hofstra, and historic Weeb Ewbank Hall, is worth the trip. Bring earplugs and aspirin. During practice coach Eric Mangini loves to blast rock music, and his selections are eclectic; it must have something to do with helping the players' attention spans. There's a pretty good chance you'll leave with a suntan and a headache.
? What to do besides training camp: Adjacent Uniondale is home to the NHL's New York Islanders and the New York Dragons of the Arena Football League, both of whom play at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The venue also is one of the summer stops (Aug. 4) for the Warped Tour, a music and extreme sports festival that features mostly post-hardcore, pop punk and metalcore acts.

With information like this I'm glad I don't pay to be an insider.

Yeah...Len really went into detail on that one.

I hope Vick is trapped in a room with steak blood poured all over and 10 pit bulls are let loose on him.

Yes. go visit scenic Uniondale, home of filth and muck, with a smattering of trash and crap.

Have you been to Shea this year? Peeling paint and crumbling concrete.

What the hell was the purpose of that lil tidbit? Thanks for posting but that was so worthless. Len is to blame.

With all due respect, your insensitive remarks are a grave insult to crap holes everywhere.

wait a minute.. did he really suggest an Islanders game as something to do during training camp? He knows it is the offseason for the NHL, right?

This is useless information. I could have told you that stuff, and I've never been to a TC session.

I agree - worse venue in the country. I've seen a bunch of games, concerts and even wrestling matches there and I've always had an awful seat.

While I understand Mangini's reason for the loud noise, it is HORRIBLE. As far as the sun, I only attend the AM sessions. Wow, only 8 days to go!!! Factoring in the cost, waiting lines, parking etc, Jet TC is possibly the best entertainment value on LI.

BTW, no cost, no lines, easy parking (at least on weekdays). Only negative is the noise. If you haven't been there, go!
