MVP? No way. I heard it from a caller on the fan the other night and it really hit it perfectly: "If Jeter played for Minnesota would any Yankee fans vote for him for MVP? Would you be willing to credit him for all of his intangibles if he wasn't doing it for the Yankees?" I will have a hard time believing anyone that answers yes.
if if if, say whatever you want, he is not in minnesota, he is not in kansas city, he is a yankee, and with scheffield, matsui, cano (88 games) and even bernie out for a bit he held it down lil homey... dont get it twisted.
jeter is the man yall, damn i can finally say im back for good, after a good deserved vacation..... finally got a new PC because of my old laptop was fried like oily french fries... anyway,... whats good my fams, bro's of GG...?
jeter rules is currently 7th in batting average. posada is 5th. where are the doubters about the yankees not making the playoffs? and where are the guys saying that lastings milledge is better than melky cabrera?
Not that this has anything to do with Jeter, but I'm right here. http://mlb.mlb.com/stats/sortable_p...&timeSubFrame=2007&compare.x=&sortByStat=OPS& Milledge has a higher OPS and higher SLG, with comparable BA's and OBP's. Had he not gotten injured after he was sent down a few weeks into the season, projecting these over 103 games (the amount Cabrera's played), he'd likely have better compilatory stats (HR, RBI, etc.) than Cabrera as well.
