The way I saw the Brady and the Pats shred Carolina, whose defense is about 10 times better than the Jets with no Randy Moss...And the way the Jets are average at best on both sides of the ball... It's hard not to think the worst for the opener...
Boys and Girls.. As much as I want the Pats to completely destroy the Jets in the opener (I'm talking 42-0). You guys gotta bring it down a notch. It's pre-season. Mangini isn't bringing out all the wrinkles.. I watched the Jets game last night.. Revis and Harris are going to be good players for the Jets.. It's way too early to jump off the GW bridge..
Revis and Harris doesn't help the run defense considerably... And Revis and Harris cannot play offensive line or Quarterback... I jumped off the BQE instead, harder landing.
And neither are the Patriots. Just remember, the Patriots defeated the Panthers without the following players (mostly starters) on the field: TE Kyle Brady WR Troy Brown G Logan Mankins WR Randy Moss CB Assante Samuel (we can always hope) DL Richard Seymour TE David Thomas DL Ty Warren What a year this could be.
The same thing happened to me watching the Pats. And then 2 days later, I watched the Jets. Reality sucks
You're wrong about that, we jump off that bridge the same time every year. I think it's in the Farmer's Almanac.
A year of complete utter misery. Such is life for a Jets fan....dissapointment and watching your biggest rival dominate year after year.
Oh, and BTW, I'm a Patriots fan and going into my 16th year as a Patriots Season Ticket Holder. And as I stated earlier .... What a year this could be!
It must be nice... Maybe one day we'll know the feeling of rooting for a champion..and for once...will be able to get alittle revenge on you guys..
Im a Patriots fan and you Jets fans need to relax. You need to realize one thing, the Jets are a division foe and will always play the Patriots tight. Even during the Patriots Super Bowl runs the Jets were a play or two away from making the game very interesting or even winning. Thats just the way it is. On top of that the Patriots still have a lot of question marks also. Will Seymour and Samuel play? What about Moss and Ty Warren? Will the Patriots get over their NOTORIOUSLY sloppy season opener play? Lots of storylines going into September 9th. I won't be surprised if it's a close game but at the same time I won't be surprised if the Patriots romp. I would be SHOCKED if the Jets won though.
Quit trying to be nice, it makes it harder to hate you just because your a pats fan! :breakdance: I agree that things look bad for now, hopefully week one makes a different story when we are bad to the multiple motions and blitzing on D.
Yeah, All that motioning and blitzing really worked out for you in the playoffs.. :breakdance: .. Same game plan that Mangini used when you squeeked one out in foxboro.. "Gee, Lets use again in the playoffs".. Silly Rabbits.. :rofl2:
Pats are on a slow decline with Seymour probably out and the inevitable injury to Harrison when he gets hurt cheap shotting a WR the Pats become a much less impossing team.
