I stand by this statement (of it being blown, not wanting it to be blown).

The Mets have shown they can't hold a fucking lead.

 

think i jumped the gun there, wagner sucks for 2 full innings..

have him ready though for 4 outs if needed

 

and now wright walks. keeps going

 

that sure is a recipe for disaster.

 

Mental error by Manuel to walk Reyes, mental error by Nunez to not cover third, mental error by Manuel to have no one behind Alfonseca in the bullpen until way too late. All of those nice things I said about Philly have gone right down the toilet this inning.

I understand the Mets have given us no reason to be optimistic, but come on, a little faith in one of the best closers in baseball wouldn't kill you.

 

But this is way worse than just bad relief pitching, as I noted in my post - the Phils are doing now what the Mets were doing all series.

This team doesn't deserve for anyone to have faith in them. They have to earn it. I'm not a faith-in whore.

yeah, the big mistake was walking reyes. he hasn't hit at all recently. you don't walk him, period.

with the phillies pen, manuel should have a quick hook and have someone up at the first sign of trouble

 

Does leading the division since, I think, April or May earn anything?
