    It should be pointed out that everyone on this board was crucifying Glavine a couple months ago, and praising Perez and Maine beyond reason. Things change. They could change again.

    I think Perez and Maine are better pitchers than Glavine.

    I was certainly not crucifying Glavine two months ago, although I might have noted it if he wasn't pitching well. The real point is that the only people who seem to have a clue what they're doing are two old guys who cannot hit 90 on the radar gun, a pretty good recipe for disaster in the postseason. Of course, on the bright side, the Mets might very well not make it there, so it won't matter.

    its almost like this shit is scripted. (almost) every time show is brought in to get a batter he gets the job done. then invariably he's left out there next inning and gives up runs. EVERY TIME.

    Like I said several innings ago, it's funny how the one manager who is pulling out all the stops to win this game is sitting in the home dugout.

    What is it that they say - a definition of insanity is when you keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
