Wow... well said man... I had the same feelings of anger and rage toward Chad watching that game, which I don't want to have because deep down I love Chad and his effort and feel truly sorry for him with his injuries... but I couldn't help thinking if he was really a "team" player he'd bench himself... and I know it would never happen nor should he do it... no real competitor would... but thats the level my frustration has reached by watching Chad out there game after game and fail drive after drive... So I hope for my own sanity & for the future of this team we see Kellen soon... I still think Chad can be effective on another team in the right situation... just not here... oh... and 2 of the 5 who voted for Chad said they made a mistake... That still leaves 3 of you who voted for him... Please explain.
How pathetic does it get when Vinny T. has a better game than Chad after only 3-4 days of practice ? Chad can be a great mentor (from the sidelines) for KC for the rest of the season and then he can become a coach somewjere next year.
Well said Chad is my favorite football player and the #1 reason why I seriously started following football. Despite that, I was ticked he was still in the game today. Mangini is sticking a guy out there that has no chance anymore and its disturbing, to say the least. I didn't expect him to pull himself out of the game, that's something the HC needs to do.
Can we please stop with this aspect of the discussion? It's time to go to Clemens, but that doesn't mean you only give the guy 10 games to prove himself. He gets a full offseason of building the team at need positions, he gets a full training camp, and he gets a Week One start leading into a full season as the starter. If there's a need to address QB (and it's WAY too early to even suggest the possibility), you do so in 09 at the soonest.
i know we dont want to here it yet again, but we may as well get ready for next year. Stick in Clemens, let him have a good run at leading the offense, then next season when we get a nice easy schedule again we will jump back to being a 9-7 or 10-6 team and losing in the wild card
Last year Chad followed every bad game with a good one. This year he follows every bad game with two more bad ones. It's sad to see.
This post should be put on Official Jets Fan letterhead, and sent directly to Mangini. F this "he's a nice guy" crap. The guy doesn't want to give up his job, and we're sinking because of it. There are no excuses anymore. We gave up 16 points, AND LOST. No more excuses. Chad must go.
