Put together all 3 remaining AFC East teams outside of the Patriots, and build a "super" roster. In my opinion, the Patriots are sadly still better. My team would probably look like this at this point of the season: QB Trent Edwards RB Ronnie Brown (ignoring the injury), Thomas Jones WR Laveranues Coles, Jerricho Cotchery TE Chris Baker LT D'Brickashaw Ferguson LG Derrick Dockery C Nick Mangold RG Brandon Moore RT L.J. Shelton I'm too lazy/ignorant to fill out the defense, but just looking at the 3 D's this year, I can't see a combo team being better than the Pats.
Like I said, this isn't a darksider thread, so I was hoping not to get a simple "we suck" comment back as the first response, but I guess I should have expected it from this site.
Mann........this site has really dropped off....We'll just have to wait and see how good these Pats are. So far, no injuries, so far, Moss hasn't reared his ugly head...but it's coming folks, it's coming....cause that's just Randy bein' Randy.....you know the deal...jus keepin it real
The D would have to be competitive DE: Schobel/Taylor DT:Traylor/Robertson LB: Vilma/Porter/hobson CB:Revis/Youbooty S: Rhodes/Whitner IMO it'll at least hold Brady to 3 TD passes rather then the 5-6 he throws every game. It'll give our O a chance to win!
Hoping for Pats injuries is not the way to compete for the division. It's also not a defining quality of a knowledgable message board.
heres the defense-4-3 le-aaron schobel/jason taylor re-shaun ellis dt-robertson(remember4-3) dt-traylor from mia lolb-joey porter mlb-zach thomas/vilma rolb-paul pouvlansky cb-terrence mcgee cb-darrelle revis (ignorance of buf or mia) ss-kerry rhodes fs-yeramiah bell k-ryan lindell p-brian moorman(just bc he can run a 4.3 40 ) kr-leon washington pr-roscoe parish i may be off with some positions (le re lolb rolb) but its colose enough, its a toss up b/w larry tripplett and drob in the dt , what do u guys think
No chance in hell with the QB situations of the rest of the division. If we had a solid QB we could probably at least keep pace with them for 3 quarters. We did it for a half which is more then most teams can say.
i..... have...... never...... read....... anything..... intelligent..... by.... u....., ur streak continues
One thing about the Pats... I don't think their defense is all that good... Their offense holds the ball all game every game, and takes the wind out of all their opponents' sails, but the D is still giving up some points... They're very savvy and opportunistic, but they're frankly not all that athletic or talented.... I think if something were to happen to Brady, be it injuries or a slump, we could see the Pats become very vulnerable.... You can't outscore people forever.. And in a close game against a team like Indianapolis, I don't know if that defense would cut it...
