Fannation.com reported today that AROD going to the Red Sox is gaining steam. They reported that Boras has an excellent relationship with the Red Sox having landed Dice-K and J Drew there. Other websites have also reported that Boras is growing tired of the Yankee hierarchy saying they won't negotiate after Arod opts out. History shows that Boras does not take kindly to these kinds of threats. Mike Lowell is also a free agent after this year and AROD would be the perfect fit, aiming at the Green Monster.

  2. If he were to go to the Sox I would completely stop watching baseball.

And I've been on record of saying that since June.

More Boras posturing. Don't believe what you hear...especially from Boras.

He has no chance of going to the Red Sox.

the player is in charge, not the manager.

ultimately, its up to arod, not Boras.

The point people seem to be mssing is, if the yankees are not in the bidding than boras will not get the number he wants. He needs the yankees in order to get 300/350 for 10 years. I think secretly he's hoping they reach an agreement early, possibly in those 10 days.

i want to hear the red sox fans opinions on this. i laugh at the possibility of your team trying to get a player that is public enemy number in the eyes of red sox nation. a player you have ridiculed without mercy for the past 4 years.

Having the best 3-4-5 in MLB history...........I'll take it, since he actually had a deal to come to Boston first.

Yeah, and Arod was willing to rework his contract and lose MILLIONS to go to Boston in the first place. I'd be absolutely thrilled, and even more if they Kept Lowell, ate Lugo's deal, and put Arod at short.

Go find me one single post where I called him "a fag". I dare you. You won't find one. In fact, I've been in more than one discussion on here arguing FOR Arod against nyjunc. I have certainly disagreed with some things he's done, like the Toronto play and the dirty slide with Pedroia, but he's still the best player in the game and anyone who wouldn't want him on their team is mentally retarded.

I dont think he meant to refer to you in particular but he definitely arguably is the most hated Yankee in Boston

As long as he brings his october body of work w/ him then good riddance go to Boston.

He was by far the best player his past REGULAR SEASON but over his 4 years here he hasnt' been the best palyer in baseball and we all know what he does in october. go ahead and pay him $30-35 mil, watch him light it up april through september then tank it in october.

yeah, im sure red sox fans are extremely upset that a-rod didnt come to play for them, especially since the year he went to the yankees the sox won the world series and are on the verge on winning another one.

so yep, theyve been crying for the last 4 years.

Had they gotten ARod they wouldn't have won the WS in 2004. If they got ARod Manny would hav been involved in the deal and they never would have had Cabrera who was big for them in postseason.

He wanted to go to Boston before he went to NY. Also, his wife is from Boston. most Sox fans don't want him.

    1. A-Rod had a deal in place with the Red Sox before he went to the Yankees, so the notion that he doesn't want to come to Boston is way off base.

    2. I don't like A-Rod and don't want him here.

    3. A-Rod has a track record in the playoffs which I don't like at all. It is not like it's one or two trips, it is a substantial body of work in the playoffs, and for the money he will be paid, I don't like it. We can make the post season without A-Rod, just as the Yankees can. So why invest so much money in a guy that has such a bad post season resume?

    4. The part about Dice-K, JD Drew, and Boras makes enough sense to scare me into believing it.

Don't know why Boston is even considering this choke artist....as long as the Yanks don't pay him....I'm fine with it
