Eric might clean house. THe "leaders of the locker room are Chad(as good as gone). Vilma (alot of people think he could bad for the 3-4), Ellis(he has a low cut by 6/1 number), and Coles(I think he'll here and hope he stays). Vilma is the easiest to trade, because we drafted Harris, Vilma has value and Barton or Hobson can fill in as an Inside Lineback.

It would be easier to just cut and trade those players for picks then find a new Head coach. Can we get picks for them???
    A late first for Vilma???
    A third for Eills???
    Anything for Chad????

Eric will be here as the Jets coach until he quits. Every coach Woody has hired has left him not been fired.

Nothing that would excite Jets fans. The Jets could maybe get a late day 2 draft pick for him.
(Note: day 2 now covers Rounds 3-7. It used to be Rounds 4-7.)

Pennington, the way I see it, is headed for a Bernie Kosar-type close to his career. Kosar was let go by Belichick due to diminishing skills in 1993. Kosar caught on with the Cowboys and got a Super Bowl ring later that season. He then went to Miami to back up Dan Marino.
After he was discarded by Cleveland, Kosar hung around through the 1996 season. He made only one start with Dallas and two starts with Miami.

I agree. This front office is not the reactionary kind. Woody is not a hands on type of owner. This is gettign at the very least one more season to play out.

Honestly, at this point, I think that Schlegel being a let-down to the FO was the only reason the Vilma-to-Washington deal did not go through this past offseason, we were probably asking for too much because we didn't have an immediate replacement for Vilma on the roster. We've been trying to replace him 2 years running.

    I bet he's a Redskin by March.

Probably a good thing it panned out the way it did. T. Jones is better than L. Betts, and we got Jones for a cleveland steamer.

Dont forget they already got rid of kendall, so that is THREE captains the FO and HC is messing with. If they had any kind of progress, and the sembalnce of a workable plan, i might give them the benefit of the doubt. But i dont see progress, and i dont like the plan, and i dont like how this POS HC treats players. EFF him. I dont like this regime, and wont be spending any more money towards their existence.

I'll still watch the games, but I find it harder and harder to root for this regime. They can leave tomorrow and I wont miss them. Good riddance!

This is not the type of team i enjoy rooting for.

anyone who wants to Fire Mangini after this year should renounce being a fan of the NFL and go watch the WNBA . There are about a thousand examples of great coaches who have rough starts before they build their program and believe me, we simply can't do better then him as a coach, yes hes young, yes hes going to make mistakes, but don't be part of the impatient contingent that drives away a future Bill Cowher type coach by calling "the sky is falling" during every bad streak.

    I voted no.

Did you honestly expect him to coach the Jets of last season to a 10-6 record, his first year? I know I didn't. Sure, they are currently 1-6, but I don't see Mangini losing his job over the outcome of this season.

I hope not. I can see success with this guy. We have to give it time. See, this is one of the reasons why we haven't had a good coach for long. The media turns on them and the fans turn on them prematurely so they split early. And if there are any good ones out there that want to coach another NFL team they refuse to come here and coach. We have to be patient fellas. I for one would like to see shottenheimer gone, but I'm willing to give him a chance too.
