Clemens wiil be much better when he gets the preparation this week. He was really in an impoosible situation.
Clemens should be benched based on his performance. Chad should start next week. You can't throw interceptions late in a close game and expect to start the following week.
How can you possibly start Clemens next week? 2 picks in 3 minutes. That's on pace for 40 picks in 60 minutes. You guys think Chad is bad, just watch out.
Exactly he has 4 Int's in 1 game and 3 plus minutes. We need a QB who takes what the D gives us even if they give us 3 points in 60 minutes.
Again I can't believe that you believe this. One pick against a deep zone down 2 scores and one hail mary thrown into the endzone? That's not two picks under normal conditions.
Man, I thought I went overboard on sarcasm. I guess not, ha. Chad can play quarterback on the NFL, he may be able to start on a few teams, but you can't settle for someone like him when the offense is struggling, and when you invest a 2nd round pick in a quarterback, he needs to play unless the starter is doing great things (a la Derek Anderson potentially in Cleveland).
I just hope Mangini doesn't judge Clemens based on that performance, Jeremy Green of ESPN was stupid enough though to make a judgement about Clemens based on his performance.
If Chad played that last drive a corner would have jumped the first out route he threw and took it back for a 20-3 win.
I think the media is going to have a lot of questions about Clemens until he proves out absolutely. That's partly the effect of him being a bit raw still and partly the effect of his head coach apparently having no confidence in him. Regardless of what else happens, if Clemens busts out he will probably take Mangini with him eventually. Coaches don't get a lot of starting QB's in this league to win with. I think 2 is the most common number of starting QB's that a losing coach gets before a coaching change is made.
The media will always jump on every slight chance to introduce criticism or controversy. They figure criticizing a coach makes them seem like they know more, while anybody can praise a coach for a good decision. Clemens will hopefully start next week and the rest of the season. He'll be given all of next season to prove himself, as he should.
Mangini put him in a shitty spot...Down by 10 with the defense knowing you're going to pass...I did like what I saw on his completions, and 2 drops by the receivers...The 1st INT, dumb...The 2nd I didn't care.
Manretard once again displayed what a complete mongoloid he is by bringing KC in with 4 minutes to go in a game that CP already wasted. Manwasteofspace – THE worst coach this team has EVER seen.
He's definitely not the worst head coach the Jets have ever had, but he's putting together one of the worst coaching seasons they've ever had, if that makes sense.
Wow, Thank goodness I found this thread just in time! I was just about to give up on Kellen and his 4th quarter INT's until I read this...*whew*!
For anyone that thinks that Kellen Clemens is no good because of his performance tonight...just remember... Tom Brady's first significant playing came against our beloved Jets. Brady actually threw a game clinching INT to I think Marvin Jones in that game. Keep the faith guys...Kellen has been to highly regarded and shown too much potential to give up on him like that.
