I am SO dissapointed in all of these posts. Don't you love you team? Don't you RESPECT the job of our new coach an FO? C'mon folks give it a rest....Why so Negative? We have to step up and support our JETS! We may be down - but we ain't OUT!!!!!!!!! We are in a rebuilding mode and next year we WILL be better! Let's hang in there folks!

rebuilding is supposed to progress. the jets have done the opposite. I see nothing this year that points to a bright future outside of a few good young players that will shine on 2-4 win football teams.

I'd consider bumping a 5 month old joke thread about Marcus Vick to be pretty lame...

See jets 2007 record compared to 2006. And i don't buy this "we snuck up on teams last year" crap people are throwing around. You can "sneak up for 2 or 3 weeks, thats about it.

I am not an expert on this, isn't there a chance we could have an easier schedule next year based on our lousy record this year?

The sched is set for all but 2 games that'll be chozen according to our record. I believe that those will turn out to be Baltimore at home, and once again at Tennessee.

Really? Plus the two bad teams we'll get for our bad record??? This team could turn things around next year b/c of its schedule.

oh nicee thanks.. probably best case scenario going by this seasons records, but i guess you never know what can happen in a year. also, we've had good seasons every other year for quite awhile now, so thats always good to look forward to hah... i must admit i was scared coming off a 10-6 season going into the odd year, no matter what our expectations were.

With our luck those will be the 2 toughest divisions in football in 2008.

We tend to get a slightly softer schedule every other year (04 and 06 for example) and as of late the jets have played better in the even years (02-04-06 compared to 03-05-07). I'm looking forward to next season, but lets close this one out first. I'd like to see the jets pickup a few more wins, and of course get a shot to stop the undefeated season.

The games we get next year

    Home
    vs MIA
    vs BUF
    vs NE
vs CIN or BAL(We were away for both, so we should be hosting either one. I think its CIN since BAL is THAT bad)
    vs DEN
    vs KC
vs STL(Were on road, remember the game where we ''backed in'' in 04?)
vs ARI(On the road for that last meeting, Quincy Carter era)

    Road
    @ MIA
    @ BUF
    @ NE
@ TEN(Maybe Texans can get into 3rd place, doubt it though).
    @ Oak(Hosted them last year)
    @ SD
    @ SF
    @ SEA

I dont expect Cincy or Baltimore to suck next year, though it depends on when we catch BAL as they will get their QB of the future I'd imagine next year. At Seattle will be tough considering the noise there......SD taking Norv is canned will be no joke too. We will need to improve the Run D or else LT will eat us up. Likewise with Herm's Chiefs who just run run run.

That should be our schedule listed above though, its not too bad at all. I can definitely see us opening at SF in the 08-09 season, since both teams just stink at the moment and are among the bottom 5. Maybe @ OAK too........Regardless its a trip to the west coast to open the year Id imagine.

Four west coast trips will be brutal. No favors there.

This year we are the least traveled team -- next year looks like we will be the most -- but trave is not an excuse to lose --

I think U R unaware how the schedule iis made. Next year somebody posted that we play the AFC west which means that our 2 free games are against a team in the AFC north & south. Those 2 teams will be determine by where we & they finish in the schedule. As a example if we finish in 3rd place we will play the 3rd place teams in the North & South of the AFC. If Miami finsihes fourth they will play the last place teams in the North & South. Other then those 2 games everybody places exactly the same schedule.
